teja, 30 Mar 2010glad you like the phone..i had made the same choice choosin... more:) Thanks.... I'm from Europe, BiH to be exact, but picked up phone at Dubai airport so it's not on any contract on anything. I'd love to have market app on it though, and was thinking about flashing but I never did it before and had second thoughts, don't wanna brick the phone.. But I think when I update to 2.1 it should have market app on it, I'll try to install european version of update, german or UK, samsung want release it for my country anyways, BiH is not even on the list on the samsung mobile web site... If you have any sufggestions or comments please let me know and thank you.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2010r u talking about spica with android 1.6 or 2.0? does it st... moreSpica came out with cupcake 1.5 and update is to eclair 2.1 ...... Own the phone and love it, you get a lot of phone for the price.....

and to all thinking of upgrading to 2.1,,the eclair version is still in development with versions coming out every week..
and it lacks the smooth transitions of the cupcake(1.5) firmware..it is sluggish(at 2 -3 common applications like music and calender in background).. repeated flashing of a phone reduces the battery life drastically..so better wait until the final OFFICIAL version is released...

I picked this over Nokia 5800 at airport for 277 $, Nokia was 320 $. Was gonna get Nokia but decided to experiment and give droid a chance, been nokia fan forever now. And you know what, love this phone, it surely is google oriented which is fine with me use google services anyway. Big letdown is NO market app preinstalled on it, and you cannot install it short of flashing ur phone with firmware that has it... don't understand google politics on this one, not good for android.
Anyways for this price phone is awesome I believe it gives you better user experience than nokia 5800. My friend owns 5800 and I see envy in his eyes :) and it will only get better with 2.1 update. Gonna wait for official one, like the phone to much to mess with flashing....
Yes I would absolutelly recommend this phone to everybody, if you gonna get one do some research and get one with market app preinstalled. All new Spica's will come with 2.1 . Thanks and go ANDROID :)You made a believer out of me :)

really a good phone with wifi, gps, bluetooth and all those stuff, but i personally think that the phone itself cannot digest the OS itself,.... getting pretty a lot of errors during the changing screen thingy while txting
