hello guys who are confused with the frown update.
well i am sure enough that it shall have.for the people in India i have gone and asked in Samsung store they said that in India froyo shall be available by the end of this year and it shall be done both for this one and galaxy s at the same time and if you want Samsung store people will only do it for you. and the ppl who feel like this hardware is not enough for froyo update well my friend has wildfire who has updated to froyo which has lower hardware then this so it surely shall.

Great one. Low price and full option. DivX support is supreb. Screen is only make problem in sunlight, else were is superb. Mp3 5.1 and super bass with head phone, great work. Will get lot off app in market and you can do almost anything in it. All google app are well sticked with. Battery life is mid range but not bad.
Go Buy It. Rs. 12200 in India. (To keep your battery going long there is an Auto kill app Applications are avilable, with it i am getting 3 days with avg Wifi +Video+mp3+call+sms+Games) Multi processing is OK but kills battery.

please ensure to take care before you plan to buy this phone. This is the mail i have received from the Samsung upon querying whether the phone is upgradeable to froyo. Answer - The piece is not compatible with froyo.

GT-I5800/I5801 handset is not compatible with froyo version. This handset is available with Android 2.1 version only.

Major drawbacks with Android v2.1
1. The Web Browsers in Android 2.1 doesn't support the flashplayer.
2. Also the Android 2.1 doesn't allow the applications to be installed in Memory Card so the limitation that we have to install the applications on Phone Memory. (which is just 130mb) and most of the available android applications couldn't be used

Aman, 06 Oct 2010resolutions- vga- 640*480 480p- 720*480 720p- 1280*720 ... morejust tried all the resolution well it can play up to may of 720x576. i tried in h264/mp4 format. i will try and say for other format.
