Phone is good but I have a problem with internet, I connect my phone to Wifi than go to the browser, but my browser don't want to go on any page.Can somebody help me,,tnx...

Nice phone, I use it mostly as a PDA.
However after applying in-official 2.2 update, it does not work with Kies any more. The main reason for applying the update was the calendar bug.
With no talking, the battery lasts 2 full days (quite short after coming from a non-smartphone Samsung Star).
Star (S5230) had horrible touchscreen, but on Galaxy 3 it is quite good - no complaints. Impossible to read in sunlight though.

I've been using galaxy 3 for the past 7 months without any problem. But from last couple of days out of the blues it is losing signal and losing calls too. I have to rebbot the phone to get the signal back. ANy one can help me with this??

My personal advice to all those who are planning to Buy Samsung Galaxy 3 is that its worth considering other phones which are already running on 2.2 (Froyo) rather than buying this and then getting it upgraded to Froyo.
There are surely known issues after the upgrade with GPS and Swype keyboard and in my case even the camera is not working. Also, as such Galaxy 3 is slow probably as compared to lower spec pre-installed Android 2.2 phone.
So, I'm planning to downgrade it back to 2.1 at Samsung Service center and then sell it off.
There are other options from Samsung only having better configuration and lower price.
Note: These are purely my personal views based on my 10+ months experience with Galaxy 3 and should not stop you to go ahead with this purchase.

james, 26 Jul 2011dude galaxy 551z d best u will get slider alsoGalaxy 551 and has almost same feature as galaxy 3, but it has 256K colors, which means lower video quality and picture quality.
Also it is more thick as it has qwerty keyboard.
Galaxy 3 touch keyboard is also not bad for typing.

I am owner of SAMSUNG GALAXY 3 APOLLO GT-I5801. I upgraded my device to Android 2.2 Froyo by authorised service centre 2 times. But each time, my Android internet browser as well as any other browser like Skyfire, Opera Mobile, Dolphin and Miren are unable to show plugin content even after enabling plugin content in settings. For example, 'www.cavernsofblood.com', 'www.millaj.com' could not be viewed with animated content after Froyo upgrade. With Android 2.1 Eclair, these websites were easily viewed with animated content after enabling plugin content in settings in Android browser. Most of the websites and links in them now could not be opened after froyo upgrade. All this was perfectly working in Android 2.1 Eclair. In Froyo, while browsing internet websites, a blue coloured box with question mark sign appears in place of plugin content which is annoying. Kindly help me by providing a proper solution.

hello frnds... dnt take dis phones bcz it does not supports high quality games it is for only game purpos nt for game purpos i suggest u that plz u dnt take dis phone if u get later u ll feel very bad.... plz u go through "galaxy ace" is one of the best phones all d features are available and it is 2.3 android
