has anybody tried launcher pro in this phone? How is the speed of this phone?

I'm buying this baby tomorrow. Except for the camera & screen..all the other specs can be compared to high end androids.. I also have a wave(8500)with bada os. Touchwiz 3.0 interface is awesome. I also need a good mid range droid.. so i've chosen the galaxy 3. The galaxy s is too large for me.

Many review say that text look pixelated, and also this phone is not so speed. is it true? Does Launcher pro, ADW launcher work on this phone and is it possible to get live wallpapers by rooting? Does it support all apps in market? Please reply i'm planning to take this phone. I'm choosing android because it has lot of apps and it is speeder and has good ui than Symbian. If this phone is not so speed and does not support all apps i will not take this phone. Spica is better option but it is not available anywhere

Sachin, 23 Aug 2010Is it possible to switch off GPRS and switch it on only whe... morewell try to create a funny apn select it when you don't wanna use gprs. i am doing it that way it works fine. its very sad to say wildfire there is a option to close it but not in this one

It's released on the Univercell website for Rs.12200 including tax. Isn't it about the same in stores?

I want to buy these phone. But i am not sure whether it is locked or unlocked phone. In my place no service provider providing android service. I have to use BSNL 3g sim only.

the only real problem with this handset- Sunlight legibility.. its really bad..cannot take photos in bright daylight..you've got to aim and shoot. impossible to see whats on the screen in daylight..BTW the camera is pretty good for daylight. lack of LED means poor indoor photos.
here lies the irony..when you can see and shoot(indoors) you get poor pictures..and when have to guess and shoot(outdoors)..you get good pictures..
hope samsung does something for daylight screen visibilty in later models..
otherwise its a really good phone..

its a great mobile. i bought it.battery is not that bad i get almost get 1.5 to 2 days that's good for an android phone well now waiting for froyo to have some flash running. browser is bit slow so i am sticking back to opera mini only i think opera is 5 times faster den the one they have given on board
