it is very complicated phone for user interface.and one imp thing is that android is not much different os than symbian s60 v5 . i used both os from last year .my own experience is symbian is still more developed than android in some aspects because symbian os developed from past 7 years and android developed from past 2 year. symbian is more secured from viruses than android. and mad retailers shows that android os is upgraded to new versions but symbian(nokia) fermware can be upgraded on every 6 months.trust me because i am in google india for engineer.

i returned my g3 for replacement, bcz of call dropping. Erlier i returned g3, 3 times for servicing to solve the problem..But no result. so i returned it..

hi, i ve brought the glxy3 , shop man promised saying that , this android handset can download 2,10,000 application from google owned sites, now after a week i dint get any such kind that i can download , i am using FB, youtube , etc , please can any1 let me know what all i can download , and how to do that, PLease help

danish, 28 Jan 2011it's the android 2.1 version my dear which clearly mention ... moreare you kidding me come on i think you never used am android i think all the version of android supports the multi tasking.so is the eClair on this phone also support.well battery is poor if you don't use the phone proper way.every roast phone especially the android have the problem with battery you have to work around to say.me and many g3 friends have posted 100s of ways to save the battery just read them and it shall surely up held the battery some time when i have low usage my phone gave backup up to 3days 4hrs and the min of Atleast 22hrs how ever rough i use it.

it will stop all the data used from ur Sim provider. and there will be no deduction of your balance.

Every thing is fine with my galaxy gt 5801 aka galaxy 3 phone...there is just one big problem
I am using airtel n my balance gets deducted 30p every now and then saying thank you for using airtel live though I am not using internet browsing via phone as I have wireless......
when I talk to airtel customer care people they say its ur han...dset prob something might be running and using internet browsing
and when i go to samsung customer care they say its ur sim problem please help please

danish, 28 Jan 2011this phone does support this systemdanish my friend it is multasking phone. u can use it by long pressing home key. u also can make a call while downloading and receive too. just use this phone for a day to clear ur dout. yes battery backup is poor but it can be imptove by task manager, atleast. gor a day with 24 hr net on. gaming experience is great though it has 2.1 eclair.on the othere hand O1 has better resolution this is just a difference. O2 comes with 2.2froyo
but at this stage it has to be more better than g3. g3 can be upgrade to 2.2 froyo while O1 upgradable to v2.3. i hope with 2.3 upgrade it will become better. g3 has faster processor than O1 and hardware is capable to support gingerbread OS too if samsung allows. at same cost these are the phones. hope you get some information to choose ur dream piece.
