Samsung is very lazy it released 2.3 OS but still have not released 2.2 update for this phone. Guys dont go for this phone better buy phone that are already running on latest OS.

can i update it to froyo when official update available through kies...
now i try to update through kies it says unable to update this fone..

I am facing the following problems with this new phone : from local dealer in my area in Dombivli (E).
1) Newtwork problem / Call drop :
THIS IS REGULAR PROBLEM AND IT IS WITH ALL SAMSUNG GALAXY 3 models..........
I am continuously suffering from this Network issue problem as whenever I am talking to my friends or any one, the call gets drop in between the conversation. After that the network goes out and I am unable to make calls unless I restart my phone.
2) Keypad lights :
Whenever I am doing keypad lock, the keypad light which is supposed to get turn off is not happening. After keypad lock, immediately the light turns on (automatically without any key press).
3) Phone Hangs :
I am facing this problem twice or thrice during the surfing between the contacts, messages & gallery.
To resolve these problems, I have contacted my local Samsung service center and they have updated the software of my phone as a solution to these problems.
But still I am facing the same problems......
These are the common problems faced by many users and I want your urgent intervention in this issue!!!!
I am very much fed up with these problems as I thought this phone is one of the best phone in ANDROID 2.1. but it is NOT!!!!!!!!!

all phone with android 2.1 or before can't save apps in memory card but if your phone use android 2.2 (froyo) u can save all apps in memory card.... thnks

Hi i purchased gallaxy 3 20 days back i uploaded video in it but i am not able to open file as the msg coming this file dont support will u help me out by telling how can i play all type of video or any software which can plzy all videos in this set & how and from wr i will get this software.

So,i think this handset ... moreIt does support zooming while taking pictures. Use the volume keys to Zoom-in and Zoom-out.

get "Apps 2 SD" if you want to move/install apps to your SD, you will find this app on Android Market for free

i bought it last month. And i am not interested to sale and buy LG or HTC. I am still waiting to upgrade to OS2.2 than 2.3.. Do you know when will upgrade this device? I hope after upgradation few problems will be resolved.

Is this a fault in my handset or galaxy 3 doesnt supports zooming images while clicking.
