I need to know one thing, i am confused about the full battery notification.
I put my cell on charging for about 3 to 4 hours but it doesn't notify that is it still charging or already get full charged.
Please answer anyone who is using this mobile

wow, this mobile is really superb, nice gps system to track the route, wonderful music player, camera is ok, photo call is nice, u can download lot of applications from android market such as metal detector, compass, navigator, games etc, good to watch divx, avi movies really superb, office, pdf editor amazing, pc sync is cool, battery charge via usb mmm, what else u want guys...
just go for it, low rate, high performance, complete utility mobile

Hey can please anyone tell me the speaker phone quality,volume and also the in call volume as in my handset it is too low..Is it with everybody or is my speaker not ok as music player is also a bit low....

teja, 06 Sep 2010i heard that some of the samsung mobiles are facing problem... moreThanks for your suggestions. I think Samsung is confusing btwn I5800 & I5801. On their website they indicated as I5800 and handset on sale was I5801 (Any have all are Galaxy 3).
I am connecting my handset to the computer via USB as a mass storage. KIES which is there in their website seems not updated for the new phones..

This is a great phone for new android users, packs almost everything one wants in a cell. Gr8 appearance and easy to use. Costs about 12K in india.

Both Samsung I5800 and I5801 are same.

Guest, 06 Sep 2010I am using this phone with Vodafone Live GPRS in Bangalore.... moreI am using Airtel (most places I am getting EDGE and GPRS in some places). In GPRS mode inbuilt browser suffers as the data download is in very low speed. In slow spped download areas I prefer opera mini, as it compress the content for about 90%.
Also use "Speed Test" application (avail for free from market) and check your data rate.

Brought it for Rs.12,200. The pack has 2 GB free mem card, headset, charger, USB cable and pouch.

WiFi tethering not present, Display brightness, loud speaker sound, KIES, No Camera button
The mobile really lived to my expectation. I have been testing it widely for the past 1 week and its doing the job.
On hardware side the build seems to be good with metalic frame support. It even bears 2 fall down from 4 feet straight into the tiles floor. The call quality is fine, but speaker phone sound is little less.
I think Multitouch and Swype is the real advantage over other phones. Stopped using PC for google chat after using this phone. Touch screen is very responsive even on extra screen guard which I added.
The display under sunlight is very poor and required to increase the screen brightness level to 100. I used android's power widget for this.
Battery backup and USB charging worth for reliable usage of this phone in the move. One full charge went for 3 hrs of browsing from mobile, 40 mins of voice call, full time GPS and WiFi turned on. All most it last for around 10 hrs and gives the low batter notification. Even after it gives me 3hrs and able to put voice call for 10 min. (I turned off GPS & WiFi & Sync after the notification. Almost used GPS for different testing. I think it should be under constat use for 2 hrs atleast.)
Kies is the real enemy of this phone. It even failed to recogonize my device.
Internal memory promises for Android 2.2 update and it should be supported for Android 3 update too.
Photos are ok. Panaromic view is fun to use. Auto focus is sharp. Smile detectes want me to smile a lot :( still it dint detect).
GPS takes longer to fixup most of the time (Either AGPS server issue or my carrier issue.. do no. But I am able to get rouch location with tower assistance).
I personally feel its worth for the price and will update as I get used to it.

I am using this phone with Vodafone Live GPRS in Bangalore. The internet browser and Dolphin Browser HD work fine, but no other apps (Market, GMail, etc.) are able to access internet through GPRS.
Why is this that only browsers are working while others are not?

Hi all, in India the version is I5801 (with touch buttons at the bottom). Similar to the Orange version. Available at flipkart.com, eBay and Samsung showrooms only so far. Price is around 12K.
