@latheef: i think you got to see this. i faced similar problems and solved them somehow. compiled them into a blogpost so that they can all be at one place. I think u'll like the phone better after doing this.

if doesn't thn update to android 1.6(donut) as it consumes less battery..

Hi guys...i am using the i7500 Galaxy,i m happy with the performance except the battery dies so quickly.even with a full charge the battery doesnt even standby for 20Hrs(even if talkin less than 2hrs)..need help??? anyone having similar issues???

Namie, 02 May 2010i am so interested to get this phone as my first android ph... morei own this phonr, nits awesome. has one of the best integrated hardware.you can update the firmware free of cost once you have NPS(New PC studio/suite)you can get it free of cost from thr internet. might face some problems while downloading the USB drivers.No file transfer thru bluetooth, since i have cupcake(os) in it. waiting for 2.0m since its known to have the FTP facility.

suman, 03 May 2010do u facing any issue on 01)blue tooth file transfer,02) Wi... morewell u cnt use bluetooth fr file transfer..no prob with synch and keyboard is good..till date 1.6(donut) android update available.. well there is news tht 2.1(eclair) update comin this month.once d 2.1 update is there u can use bluetooth fr file transfer..I hav used both 5700 n 7500..7500 hs better camera,better screen,8gb inbuilt memory wich is must as all android app r stored in phone memory not in sd card.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if there is a software update for the galaxy. I was speaking to the samsung rep and she said that there will be a new site available end of April for samsung customers . Almost like the ovi store for Nokia.

i am so interested to get this phone as my first android phone,but i have some questions:
1-is it possible to upgrade the installed android version which is 1.5 to the latest version??e.g 2.1???is it free??
2-can it use custom sound(mp3 files) as massage alert??

Sibi, 01 May 2010I have a diloma to buy, Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica or ... morebuy galaxy....5 megapixels...8gb harddrive...though the processor is slow...the screen is amoled .....what more do u want???go for it./.i heard though the spica is getting update to 2.1 it;s a bit laggy in applications...
