The Best OS in todays Market goes like this:-
1) Blackberry (Unbeatable)
2) Iphone OS.
3) Android
4) MS Windows Mobile

Definitely I think as Android is a Google Product they be No.1 usual like their other products. As you may be knowing that Windows 6.1 is flopped or scrap project (Source: Wikipedia: search for windows Mobile) windows Mobile - 7 has got good features.

However 1.5 cupcake donot support bluetooth and many other applications lets wait for 2.1 Android eclair which got may features.

If you want to know Cons of Android then go reading:-

Android does not support bluetooth file exchange, video call or native J2ME, as do other mobile operating systems, such as Symbian OS and Windows Mobile.
A source of criticism has been the lack of standards-based iCalendar/CalDAV functionality in the Android calendar client. Currently, the Android calendar is restricted to synchronisation with Google Calendar service.[90]
Google tracks issues and feature requests at Google Code's site. As of January 2010, the most requested ("starred") feature is the support for right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.[91][92]
Hands free dialing is not supported. Voice dialing can be used to find/input a number, but selection requires the screen. This makes it illegal for driving in some areas.[93]
Android does not support animated .gif files. It only shows the first frame.
Android does not use established Java standards, i.e. Java SE and ME. This prevents compatibility among Java applications written for those platforms and those for the Android platform. Android only reuses the Java language syntax, but does not provide the full-class libraries and APIs bundled with Java SE or ME.[94]
Because of potential security issues,[95] Android does not officially allow applications to be installed on, nor run from, an SD card. Current Android products such as the HTC Dream and Magic have limited onboard memory and many users feel restricted by this lack of functionality.[96] However, several unsupported modifications exist, to give the user this capability.[97]
ARM Holdings and RealNetworks have expressed doubt that it will gain a major market share as a netbook OS.[98]
Garbage collection will slow down programs that make too many memory allocations so that Dalvik can keep a pool of free memory. This may noticeably affect responsiveness.[99]
Developers have reported that it is difficult to maintain applications working on different versions of Android, because of various compatibility issues between versions 1.5 and 1.6[100][101], specifically concerning the different resolution ratios of the various Android phones[102]. Such problems were specifically encountered during the ADC2 contest.[103]
Android uses a version of Linux as its kernel (albeit tweaked by Google to fit Android needs and separated from the main Linux kernel tree),[104] but it is not a conventional Linux distribution; it does not have a native X Window System, nor does it support the full set of standard GNU libraries like its system libraries (GNU C Library). This makes it difficult to reuse existing Linux applications or libraries on Android.[105]
Google does not maintain anymore the Android code they previously contributed to the Linux kernel, effectively branching kernel code in their own tree, separating their code from Linux, and locking out companies contributing to Android Drivers. The code being no longer maintained, has been deleted in January 2010 from the Linux codebase[4][5].

This looks like it supports HSPA AWS (band IV) and can thus be used on T-Mobile US. Can anyone confirm this? Better yet if someone on T-Mobile US who is using it can comment.

The battery life for this thing is criminaly short. Maybe this could be some sort of improvement but i doubt it : http://cgi.ebay.com/2200mAh-Extended-Battery-Cover-for-Samsung-i7500-Galaxy_W0QQitemZ290391266722QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item439cab15a2#ht_3461wt_927

Video quality is just awfull! I certainly hope that this thing gets upgrade to Android 2.1 or better and that at least some of its problems would be resolved.

And , yea, if you re browsing the internet you cant accept any incoming calls! !()!#/()!#/()!#()( !

Galaxy is very good smartphone with a lot of usefull applications, most of them completely free on Android market. If you have turned on many widgets and background applications you need to know that battery will survive only one day, with some smart turns off battery will work 3 days too. But this is usuall for the most smartphones on the markets and galaxy is not an exception. Reported problems with 3G connections depend on your mobile service provider and its infrastructure, it is not a fault of the Galaxy. With New PC Studio you can install USB and Android drivers for Galaxy, then you need to go on Settings-About the phone-Additional settings on your phone and to switch on Mass storage only. On any Windows OS then you will see your Galaxy as USB mass storage device and be able to transfer from or on your phone all files: pictures, music, text files. You can synchronise your e-mails and contacts only with Google Mail, because it is the Google smartphone and they prefered their own services. If you open your Google Mail account on your PC, you will see everithing from your phone: contacts, mails, messages etc. Unfortunately, Samsung did not add good manuals for the Galaxy and many of these informations are not presented in written form. But, if you call your local service, usually connected with a selling company which provides Samsung phones in your country, there you will get all neccessary informations.

Dear All; Android is not the best option yet for mobile OS, I'm currently using Samsung I7500,,,so many disadvantages, as an example:
                            *Battery Life's too short.
*Can't get access to android market.
*While connecting to 3G, all incoming calls fails.
*File Transfer between New PC Studio and the mobile phone is not available,,,
I send many complains through Samsung customer service centre, but without reply.
