One of the besr WM cellphones on the market.My tytn 11 was stolen and replaced by the i780.The tytn was good but I prefer the i780.Battery life is very good.

hi i'm using nokia e51, i'm considering to buy thiz phone for the mobile office.could anybody tell me about your experience with this phone for battery life (i saw only 3 bars?!), can it sends business card? as well as receive business card?, are the silver colored button easily wear out? is the stylus easily dropped off or going sloppy?

Hello everyone! I live here in the Phil. Those who are Filipinos out there with i780 I would just like to know how was your browsing to yahoo website on a prepaid phone. For me, Its too annoying.. my yahoo website is southeast asia not the usual page when your browsing thru laptops. Do you think it can be change? I need your help and expertise. pls? and another thing does the yahoo messenger can be downloaded with our phone so with the skype? and what is the applicable anti-virus for the phone? where to download? SAMSUNG i780 Speaker sound is rather soft and plain. Recommend to use Headset.
i780 Original Headset sounds better, but size may not fit all ears, kept droping out of my ear.
Found cheap i780 Headset connector / convertor for 3.5mm-Socket for normal walkman ear-piece. May be poor quality of cheap connector make my also cheap 32ohm ear-piece sound horrible. I thinking to buy a GOOD 8ohm or even 4ohm ear-piece, any suggestion anyone? "PHILIPIS" is pricy and so-so. "SONY" pricer, may be better. Price is always pulling me back to buy a GOOD ear-piece that can make me better enjoy MP3 on my mobile.
My conclusion: i780 Speaker is so-so (SOFT and PLAIN), origina Headset sounds better but may not fit all ears (mine is too big and the ear-piece kept dropping).

If you press "Shift", hold shift and click on the mousepad, this wil activate a "some like need to dubbleclick" function on the mousepad and a nice scroll functionality on the sidebar. To deactivate, press the pousepad together with the OK key.

dear all, I used sony ericsson K770i before. And now I'm confused with this windows mobile operating system. especially to find a one way shortcut for writing new SMS. in sony ericsson I can just made a shortcut, one single click and I'm already in the menu of writing new SMS. How can I do that in this Samsung i780? Please help me all.... thank you very much

Hi to All:
I bought my i780 last Saturday and started to get things up and running. I must say compare to the previous WM devices that I had, the i780 kick bud.
No problem with setting up GPS,Wi-Fi,GPRS,Email,3G,B/Tooth,Modem to my laptop and running my own applications. This phone is a must for people that live for performance and stability.

I would like to have i780 one. but i wonder, what do it means with "speakerphone: No." ?
Is that means , we can not use Loudspeaker during call / can not play music with speaker phone? or mean else..?
Someone assist me will very appreciate.

I have recently upgraded my phone to i780 when I switched on my phone I get this messge that says - ""tap the target firmly and accurately at each location on the screen. The target will continue to move until the screen is aligned"" Since last night I have been taping with no luck can you please assist.

No problem about compatibility if you install RealVGA. It will also make the whole interface look high res with many things can fit in the screen.
(a.) Download RealVGA it at: "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327830"
(b.) then select 96dpi, then all softwares are compatible after you restart :)

This is a Re post because gsmarena rejected this post several times. I hope this will finally work.
1.to manually create quickLaunch to new SMS is a bit tricky.
(a.) You have to edit the following parameter in notepad (30#windows\tmail.exe -service "SMS" -to "" -body "")
(b.) then rename the extension from (.txt) to (.lnk)
(c.) then transfer to your phone through activesync. If you want you can assign it to a button from settings, buttons.
(a.) To make it simple just download "launch manager" from "http://fanasticbytes.com" because it has option to automatically make it for you.
(b.) After installing it make sure you also download the i780 skin at "http://fantasticbytes.com/downloads/getfile/name/black320x320"
(c.) copy that file to your device then tap it.
Note: "launch manager" is simple but very powerful software. It's not just about new SMS shortcut but rather all shortcuts you want!
2. Assign taskmanager to button for 1-click access because the default in i780 requires you to long-press "OK" button which takes long and annoying.
(a.) You download AE Button Plus at "http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php" What it does? it simply lets you do anything to any hardware button in your device. You can even assign separate functionality to single-click, double-click, long-press, and even triple click! Meaning a single button can have 4 functions or use it to launch 4 different programs in 4 different ways!
(b.) Run it and you assign "task manager.lnk" shortcut to any button preferably the left-button(the one above the green-button.)
(c.) Since you already have AEButtonsPlus, you can also use it to assign "Launch Manager" to any button you want even in the form of double-click, long-press or any method.
3. Quickly toggle between d-pad and mouse-mode. You didn't ask for it but it's a mortal sin for i780 owners not to use it.
(a.) Download it "http://www.mysamsungepix.com/applications/utilities/chgfingermouse/"
(b.) Since you already have AE-Buttons-Plus, just assign chgfingermouse to any key (preferably the right-button above the red-button.) You can locate chgfingermouse.exe file inside "program files" in the main storage.Then pressing the assiged button will quickly switch between dpad and mouse. very handy.
4. Typing in i780 qwerty easier and faster- You also didn't ask for this but lets admit it; i780 qwerty is hard to press are so tiny for most thumbs.
(a.) Solution: just download MagikBlite at "http://www.mobiion.com/magikblite.html"
(b.) Make sure you assign the i780 layout(just mail me if u can't find it), then activate it, then typing is very satisfying because u no longer need to press shift or caps. How it works? double-click will output capital capital, while press-and-hold will output the alternate character.
