BELLE, 15 Jan 2009hi, why would you switch phones? is there a problem with yo... moreHi! No mate, everything worked fine with i780, but i'm a sort of an adventurer regarding phones. I've learned almost everything there is about windows mobile and luckily on one of it's best incarnations (i780) and i enjoyed every day using and customizing it. But now it's time to discover something new (android or mac os are in the game).

dearly guys..
am facing difficulties..my i780 was locked!the screen doesnt appear anything except opening montage of samsung. once i press red button screen will appear with locked mode. but once i press unlock the screen blackout! how to sort out matters...thanks for ur incoming contributions.

Im having a hard time co... morehi..am aint Philippine but experienced ur situations. u need to to configure the connections settings. there is a specific settings must be done..or contact ur network operator `SMART', they will guide u. good luck. i780 is a perfect ever mobile!

Anyone here from the Philippines?. Im having a hard time connecting to Internet by GPRS. My provider is Smart. Im done going to their wireless center but of no help.

There's no official software to upgrade WM. But there are modded software to upgrade the eBoot+PDA+Phone version/ROM. Go google. I'm holding eBoot+Phone = PBVHK1 and PDA=PMSHL1. The last two characters determine the latest ROM you have. H1 and below is WM6.0 while H5 and above holds WM6.1

Anyway, I remember that during installation the alignment of screen is adjusted, not the scroll speed (well, not that I can remember).
Last option, try to backup everything (I use SPB Backup) and do a hard reset again to check if there was a scroll setting you missed during installation.
Sorry if I'm of no help. I really can't find that option. =(

The thing is that only one tap seems to enable hi-speed scrolling on my unit and if i want to open a file/folder/sms i have to hold down the stylus to open it (one tap only makes nothing at all or enables scrolling)
I did a hard reset and i remember there was an option in the beginning of install but i guess i picked the wrong one:) Thanx for the help

Does anyone know wh... moreHi Tommyboy7, i had a hard time translating the question, hehehe, anyway, ill try to answer: a menu will pop up when you hold down the center button or when you tap the screen and hold it for a few seconds (same function as right click on pc mouse). However, I don't think we can set what the menu will include. We might need to install a third party software for that.

I'm thinking about buying a I780.My question is how many hours does the battery long?Like is 7hours the two batterys or 7 hours per battery(conversation autonomy).I really need it for about two days long :).Is there software available to upgrade windows mobile?

i love this i780, been using for almost a year now it doesn't give me any headache, it serves me very well.
1 question:
I still don't get what the "idle text mode" does for, under option/today screen. Thanks in advance for your urgent reply.:)

Anyone who knows the best GPS software that supports philippine map? I believe Philippine Map is available on MapKingR12, however, the application doesn't fit the screen of i780, hence, it doesn't display correctly. =(

I didn't uninstall it but am not using it so no problem there. Regarding Igo8 the only thing i can tell you - you can either buy it or google for alternatives:) Regards!
