          BELLE, 06 Jan 2009Hi, I'm not sure if we can permanently disable the GPRS con... moreI've had the problem also in the beginning... be sure active sync is set on manually, if you have fring installed in connection manager / settings select "always ask" don't open internet explorer or Opera unless you are sure you want a connection...
          if a program needs a connection he will choose the best available: wifi, bluetooth, gprs or hspda... (in that order) so put everything on manually...

            Everytime my unit tries to connect via GPRS, a balloon prompts on the top side of my unit and I immediately hit CANCEL button. Or, you may opt to go to Wireless Manager >> Menu >> Disconnect Cellular Data, this will disconnect the GPRS connection without turning your phone off.

              Unless you want to install a third party software to correct your images.

                does anyone know how to disconnect gprs for the i780 permanently? whenever i turn the gprs off the phone will automatically be switched off as well.

Regar... moreHi, thanks so much for all your help, got the bluetooth working, I tried sending data to another phone - got no problem. As to receiving, I found the problem, I wasn't able to set the settings to receive all incoming beams(Settings >> Connections tab >> Beam >> Receive all incoming beams). I didn't know I have to set this to receive files, my previous phone (Symbian) had no settings similar to this, once the BT is turned ON, sending and receiving of data was a breeze. ^_^

                    Anyway, thank you very much for all the trouble. ^_^

                        I am looking for a PDA phone.
                        Saw this phone features and think that it is worth for its price.
                        Currently it is selling at RM1500. (About USD450)
                        Wonder will the price be dropping further since it has been in the market for quite some time.
                        By the way,is there a model i788 which is same as this i780 but upgraded wit FM radio function?
                        Is i788 available in Malaysia?
                        What's your opinion about this phone? Should i get this phone or should i go for other PDA phone?

Try to rep... moreHi Tommyboy7, thanks, but only 1 or 2 lines flickers (not the entire phone backlight) when I play, anyway, I will try to reset my phone then play again and see what happens (for sure this is the first thing they will do should I return my unit, then they will instruct me not to install unsigned applications). ^_^

                          Anyway, how would I know if the Bluetooth is fully functioning?

                          My i780 can receive files via bluetooth but I can't send any files from i780 to another cellphone or to my laptop, is there something I should do (tweak/configuration)?

                          Please help me. ^_^
