How come when I use a song for my msg ringtone it does not stop even when I have opened the message already?

I just bought my i780 last week and ha... more1) you can insert only microsd,and the device also supports micro sdhc cards up to 8gb (16 gb but only some manufacturers)
2) fot public networks you don't need any settings, you just click next in wireless manager..
3)i think messenger doesn't work through wireless (a samsung bug) and it will try to connect through gprs...new firmware should fix that
4) a-gps is assisted gps which means that if you can connect to the net while using gps it will download data from your provider tower and the satellite lock should be around 30 secs (otherwise up to 10 minutes)
5) try to write the message and activate on screen keyboard and next to the keyboard press the tab and there you can choose letter transcriber (you have to adjust it to your handwriting ofcourse first)
6)i have network coverage to the bitter end so it doesn't turn itself off. But truly you cannot use the camera if battery is poor (i think every phone does that)

I just bought my i780 last week and have read the first 5 pages @ gsmarena.
I have few questions based on the opinions and reviews I have read. Hope you could help as Im a new user of PDA phone.
What is better. MicroSD or SDHC?. And what is the best brand of MicroSD/SDHC card as I will buy one asap.
What Wifi settings should I use when trying to connect to a public network?. I have not been able to sign-in to Messenger. And I think my Wifi works slow.
How can I make my GPS work?. Do I still need to install a software or a map for it to work. What is A-GPS?
Does this phone support handwriting recognition?. How?
And, does this phone really turns off when battery is low. Meaning, no network coverage.
Hoping for your reply please.

i780 really have a lot of problems.just bought for a week and cannot even accept spb mobile shell and spb phone suite download .After downloading these 2 programs ,my gsm connection went dead .Go to samsung service center twice but cannot solve the problems.does any guys here have this problems? or these 2 programs are not suitable at all ? pls advise ?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970well. for free it's a tough one. You have some themes over at the xda developers forum, but unfortunately most don't work on i780 sqaure screen and are based on spb mobile shell. Check it out or google:)))

Mine doesn't light at all when the screen is turned off because i have a 3rd party today screen. Maybe you should check at xda developers page - they seem to have some hacks but i don't know if it's for your problem specifically:( Regards

Hello Tommy ! can you make the LED light of this phone alway light like O2? because it light in blue or green only when have the miss call or connecting to wifi...etc, after the CPU turn off, the LED light also turn off. So is there any way to make the LED always light ? Thanks.

I just bought i780 in Cambodia. I check in web only black color but here is darkbrown, is it real or fake? I have problem with CD installing in my laptop and it doen't work. can i780 use to connect internet to computer? please advise. Thanks

It's better that they test and modify it so it will work properly. If you are an adventurer try the cooked rom's at xda developers. I will wait for the official release:) Regards!

1) apparently Samsung is inviromental friendly and so does not include paperback version of manual (only quick quide)and also the box is very thin
2)it supports 8gb and 16 gb sdhc cards
3)well, the manual doesn't state that you can reverse the camera but try the volume button when camera is operating and you shall see:))
