It appears that pc@x is right; based on the manual, the phone needs to be connected to an external GPS device. This is stated very clearly and puts an end to any argument to the contrary. So long i780, you're such a beautiful phone :(

        To all those who always complain about details, in particular Dhaka. "no flashlight, no radio, no GPS...". If you want a good cam, buy a digi cam, if you want a radio, buy one, if you want a GPS, buy a Tom Tom. What do you want from a mobile phone ?? How comes that people just focus on the things that a mobile is not supposed to have ?! This mobile has Wifi, it has a large screen, a lot of features, a qwerty keyboard ! Is it not enough ? In addition it has a camera, GPS and you are still complaining because it has no flashlight !

            @Dhaka

            Ok, i'm agree with radio and the flash, I think they need to attach one.. But you gotta read the specs, this phone does has GPS receiver.

            About the 65K color, it's not because samsung cannot create it, but it's because the limitations of Win Mobile platform. Ask Mr. Gates, as soon as they agree to release a Win Mobile Platform with default 256K colors or more, I'm sure that you will see a lot of Win Mobile phones with 256K colors or more.

            And please remember that with more color and higher resolution means the phone will need more battery power.

                Appearnce of this samsung mobile is good but it's features is very poor, no flashlight for camera, no radio, no gps receiver and it's resolution is very poor only 65k, it should be atleast 256k if not 16 million colors

                      Samsung i710 is a windows based phone & it has a resolution of 256k colors.Moreover samsung phones are known to be more delicate than the ones from nokia.
                      When is this phone coming to India & what could be the price?

                            Read specification before posting your comments! 1. Display type: TFT touchscreen, 65K colors!

                              I have 2 questions:
                              1) can this be used in the US?
                              2) Does anybody know if this is going to be sold in HK or asia now?

                                        I changed my mind, I will not wait 2 years until WM7 is out, but I think I'll get i-mate 9502 instead :)
