to prove that Samsung jet is better than this phone, better go to p h o n e r e n a and check the editors rating to these two phones, the Jet is 9 out of 10, and the Omnia II is 8 out of 10, just stick the letters

Per favore, 26 Feb 2010I've read many opinions about O2,some are pro, some are cont... moreThe wifi works good. Fast to acquire signal. I haven't had it drop me once in my house. The GPS works great but you need something other than Google Maps if you don't have a data plan. Make sure to update XTRA regularly and it finds the satellites pretty fast in doors.

Battery life is okay. I find I recharge every 2-3 days of pretty good use. If you turn off back light it last a little longer.

I don't like how laggy it is though. Flipping through the screens is laggy and so is loading widgets that you download. Seems odd for the processor speed.

Yes the RAM/ROM are only like 50mb each after WM 6.5 takes its cut. Still more than enough and there are tricks/tips online to help manage it. Youtube works great. Picture quality is high and I've only run into a handful of videos that wont play on a mobile device.

Overall its a 7.5-8/10 for me. I think it could have been better but its a good phone.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2010I have this phone,GPS doesnt work and its quite slow! The GPS works well, friend. The unique problem is the speed to search and find the satellites. U must hope 5 minutes, more or less. My Nokia N82 conected to the satt in 30 seconds only. But the big screen oh the Omnia 2 compensate the lost time. Hasta la vista.

How can I use Googlemaps standalone as a map without a phone connection? I dont subscribe to web service. When using Wifi, the GPS works fine and I can see where I am. However, when Wifi is closed, the Googlemaps start, shows me the map I saw before with Wifi on, but then shuts down with the message that it cant connect to the web. I still see the map in the background, but I cannot keep it there. I hope there is a way to tweak Googlemaps, so I can just use the map as a map, to for navigation. Thanks. JimJ
