tahere, 11 Jun 2011I'm very sad beacuas my cell phone(o2) almost time hang so ... moreI was so pissed off with my Omina 11 and just got rid of it. It regularly crashed while surfing the net and even jammed my incoming calls occasionally. Anyway this is not Windows problem. Even my friends Galaxy with Android 2.3 has the same problems.
For some people it`s ‘Samsung for life’. For me ‘never in my life another Samsung’.

The stock firmware for the Samsung Omnia 2 is terrible. Programs crash, phone is unresponsive, surfing the internet on this phone is a frustration. Add to the fact that sometimes if you attempt to multitask, your programs will close without warning.
Omnia 2 is a Windows phone best used if you are immune to frustrations, annoyances and the feeling of being pissed...

i followed all what is writen on the official firmware site and i used winxp 99% i think i did every thing correct .

skyjack*10, 02 Jun 2011Yeah man, I just sold mine. After a year, I just could not ... moreSorry to hear that. It may sound strange, but i'm more than ever satifsied with my omnia 2. I finally made the perfect combination between performance and battery, with eye candy too. Also with lot of free memory(75mb after all apps/games installed).
I made an ultra lite rom, wich is blazing fast, removed all samsung crap, installed only the ones i need and use. In the end...installed spb shell with an addon and the result is amazing.
There are 2 things that bother me, but i can live without it :)
1.The lack of flash support and proper 3d drivers(omnia 2 can do much more, the hardware allows it)
2. All developers kinda dropped support for windows mobile.No latest games, but again,i can live without those.For proper gaming i'm using my galaxy. But for e-mail, browsing, even instant messaging i'm still using my omnia2. Galaxy makes great pictures/movies on daylight, but for nightshots i'm using omnia :P.
Like i said, i'm sticking with my o2 for a long time..i think this phone will "retire" from my hands :).

Yeah man, I just sold mine. After a year, I just could not stand the freeze and poor internet browsing. I`m not tech savvy, so could not tweak it for better performance. There were some who tried the tweak and faced other problems. Finally when important data got lost from my storage, that was the final straw.

Another way to hard reset the omnia is to type on phone dialer this code :
*2767*3855#
Good luck. I see less activity around here....this means you guys don't have your phones anymore?...Too bad..i still have mine..and it's working like a cham :P

AnonD-4371, 16 May 2011Unfortunately you have to make a hard-reset from button com... morehi Lawrence, is this the same result if i press; settings, memory settings, clear memory, and tap clear memory again to delete all data and reset to the manufacture default? reason i ask coz this is a lot easier than pressing 3 buttons at the same time. yet, i'm aware that if my phone hanged up or unable to power up, then pressing the 3 buttons at the same time is the only way to hard reset.

Dear samsung omnia ii 18000 i have try many time to change the language but it is giving option to change the languege but its not lasting time for second so ti make me to difficult to change so is there any solution?

USB -MY STORAGE mode,
then you defragment it,
later you will found out it run smoother !!
or you may try the beta for android 2.2
