I've got info dat Omnia 2 display not a RESISTIVE or CAPACITIVE one, but it use a different display technology named Advanced R-type Touch Screen. Someone from Samsung R&D in CommunicAsia 2009 Show told me dat. Correct if me wrong..

They got 16M colour, Amoled display with 3.1' screen. But if u want to play/ record videos, better choose Omnia 2 (D1- Dvd format/ like with 480p. Near to HD size- 720p). Even Omnia 2 screen display only 65k (basic Windows Mobile), but its Amoled technology make it super clear than others. Trust me.. In around 2 years, i've been used/ buy to try Innov8, Pixon 8mp, Jet and Omnia 2 now..

So, the Omnia II has a hyped 16M color capable AMOLED screen, just like the Jet or Omnia HD. BUT, the WinMo OS limits it to 56k colors... and that's fine, in menus and such. But how about video playback and photo displaying? Have Samsung added support for 16M colors there, so that the WinMo software limitation is bypassed? If not, then I'd say it is kind of false marketing to promote is at as 16M screen if it cannot be used... Anyone who knows for sure, or has tested a video clip (with more than 65k colors in it of course) on both the Omnia II and, say the Jet?

Yup. In Malaysia, FMG sell it for MYR 2399. Original from Samsung Malaysia. And after 3 month use it, the sales person call me and ask if i want to upgrade my version (from 6.1 to 6.5) for free. Why not? And he told me dat this newer version didn't coz any defect like lag@ hang whatever.. so now i dare to guarantee that this Omnia 2 was a HIGH END gadget for Samsung than others..

Superb phone! Already got WM6.5 from sellers (Samsung) in Malaysia. Running fast (800mhz) with excellent screen (65k same as other pda's but its AMOLED and resistive!)Good sound quality (loud and clear) better than others.. Recommended!
