      I have the phone about 1,5 years. Still working without problems however when I compare it with smartphones now... It is so slow.... But wait.. There are developers creating Android 2.1 on this phone! and even Android 2.2! Currently Beta 2 is out. I must say Android running on the Omnia II makes it 10 times faster!! They still have to fix some bugs, but they are working on it now. Check these links±

External is a micro sd card.If you mean My Storage, that's also internal and the 16 gb versions of omnia 2 is known for the "dissapearing" memory. Your problem might be software related.
        Try to set the phone on usb storage mode, connect it to pc and see what it's detecting.

          Dear All,I am using mobile Samsung I8000 Omnia II 16GB.today i hard reset my mobile after that my storage memory(External memory) is not shown only internal memory is shown.
          Kindly someone help me.

Can you share with me your procedure for cooking... moreI'm using the same procedure shown on modaco.Anyway,i kinda dropped the working for omnia2, since i also have a galaxy s. If samsung releases a new rom for omnia i will try to see what is new, but until then i will try to improve my sgs :).

              @Lawrence. Can you share with me your procedure for cooking rom. I can't find any straight forward procedure on modaco. I flashed my O2 with JH2 lite rom. I've been using it since september last year. I want to cook my own rom. Thanks

                @fadz. The procedure is the same. Download the rom and octans downloader.Again, for mr "anonymous", kies won't see the latest update for any phone if it's not released in your country. So again, stupid comment.That's why i never used it.
                With octans flash the new rom.
                Depending on your pc operating system, you may require to install additional drivers.Remember to look on modaco about the flashing. good luck

For Egypt,best ... more@Lawrence actually i was looking for alot of programs like igo8 and garmin but i cant find any for free and btw i downloaded a gps tester and it keep scaning till 4ever i just wanna make sure does my gps works well if u got any links for any programs that can help me solve that i will be thankfull thnx in advance

                      These are ALL official firmwares released by Samsung for I8000. This not includes regional roms, provided by some local operators(like orange, SFR and others).These are STOCK ROMS.
                      As you can see, most of them are for EU.
                      I didn't inlcude singapore roms, as i don't understand the language and google translate makes a mess out of it. For more info, search yourselves.
                      I didn't read anywhere samsung officially dropped the support for omnia 2, but it's clear. Last official rom they released was in october. Comparing with other devices(like omnia1), i think they abandoned omnia 2. For i900, they stoped support after 18 months. Omnia 2 was launched in july 2009, they stopped creating roms in october 2010(15months). So, if anyone of you has doubts, go to samsung centers, pay alot of money for a thing you can do home, for free.

                          FIY, modaco community is the best in the world for windows mobile devices,next to xda. Even samsung recommends it.And who are you to question me?If you don't like the things i do here, be my guest and try to do them for me. I would be happy.
                          Another thing, Secany, a guy who works for samsung, released on modaco official and custom roms. So, before open your mouth and say stupid things, ask around.
                          I always give correct links, i alwasy try to be as objective as a person can be. I also give an alternative for the people that are not that much into tech like me, and help them personally. If you have a problem with that, i suggest you shut down your pc and leave it that way. You really have a way on NOT to make friends, even virtual ones.
                          I already made a tutorial on how to flash new roms on omnia2(official or custom), but, again, if it looks simple for me, alot of you guys didn't understood. With a simple operation you can easily brick your phone and you will blame me for it. That's why i rather do it myself over remote control(teamviewer to be more exact).
                          If only you would read back a couple of pages...but again...you are just lazy and close-minded.
                          you know nothing about me, but still you're bashing me.

                                  Trust me,samsung uses the same procedure:)(with octans, but on higher scale).
                                  Just google modaco i8000 and you will find the best community for omnia 2. Try it.

                                        Damn slow, no updates or upgrades available. Trying to get updates on the net dosent recogonize the fone. Bought it at jumbo electronics at mall of emirates, dubai. Dissapointed. my mobile ID i8000(00 0000 0000)???
