Jo, 09 Oct 2009I have this phone for 2 month, it was not as sensitive as i... moreUnicode support for mandarin/chinese and some other languages shuold be addressed with the WinMo upgrade to 6.5. If you happen to be in singapore, Samsung will recall the phones to upgrade the OS, according to the rep at the samsung flagship store. The OS upgrade might be available online for those who prefer DIY i guess, like the first omnia.

Hey does anyone think phone is "too big"?
I think the iphone is slightly too big for my liking. But then again people say its perfect.
I would like to put it in my pocket and do 1 hand texting. Is it practical enough for that? Or go for something else (any suggestions would be great).
Thanks

hey guys im back.lets get things straight.do not compare phones running different os.its like comparing a male and a female running for a 100m record.this things are different.as far as winmo in concerned, omnia 2 is the best(for the time being).but the truth is,it needs a new firmware update as it has a lot of bugs.about the widget makes it slow to load.the answer is simple, for each widget to launch,it will try to connect to the net to get any updates first.thats why it takes time.the hardware of this phone is phenomenal..but the touchwiz does suck big time compared to touch flo of htc.but having said that,do u need style or performance?till this date omnia 2 is the only phone capable of playing mkv(with coreplayer) without much hassle(TG01 AND HTC HD2 should be better).but if u want a good advice from me,if u r not up for it,just get htc.or be patient cause hummingbird is on the lose and it will be soon the heart of samsungs upcoming winmo to fight with hd2.

Hi Guys,
Ive been a nokia users since my very first cp. Now Im replacing N95 with a new phone and I'm choosing between N97, Samsung Omnia I8000 II and the i8910. Its the first time that im considering other brands.Im more into radio, internet speed, office editor, good display. So far, based from what i can understand in the specs given of the 3 phones, the Omnia I800 II is the leading choice for me (subjectively based on my priorities). I just have a few questions before actually buying the gadget. You see im actually a techie idiot hahah thats why im having problem with some technicalities of the specs so please bare with me, and try to answer in laymans term hehe:
1. Im confused with the 65k color limit (whats does banding mean? hehehe). How does it affect my pics or screen or whatever. Coz in the review, they seemed to be praising the screen reso, the gallery display, the camera pixels are high. So how does the 65k affect the phone?
2. Would it be really hard for the all-time nokia user to get used to the applications of samsung. I tried borrowing a sony eric fone..but i just cant handle it. Hehe In my limited knowledge, its not very user friendly. But thats just me.
3. How would i know if the phone im buying is 6.5 or 6.0 Win mo? Is there a way of knowing? I dont trust some sellers hahaha when you ask them questions they just say yes to ensure sale.
4. Can i password protect some "very personal folders". My cousins love borowing my fon so i just dont want them browsing on some folders thats reserve for work or just too personal items.
5. Cant remember if its this fon or i8910 that says no stereo speaker? What does it mean? CAnt I watch videos using loudspeaker (only with earphones?) or play music out loud. How about ringing tones?
6. Also, Im kinda worried that since it has no actual qwerty keyboard, that the touchscreen might somehow lost its sensitivity in the long run and i cant use my fone anymore? Is that possible? If so, how long does it take to have touchscreen problems?
My questions sound stupid even to me.Hahaha. But please have the patience to answer. Thanks so much in advance to those who will.

hey lizard guy,, have u seen the specs of htc hero compared to omnia 2,wake up, did you buy a hero and refuse to believe it's sub par.
Android (cupcake) is quite primitive, can u create a folder and put secret photo's in it and then put it in an "on the fly" encrypted partition ( password protected) hmmm can u?,,,, Have u got 800 mhz processor, 480 x 800 res,,, amoled,,,great responsive touch with exelent feedback,,,,can u download literally thousands of applications and games from your home pc to try and play for free.
WAKE UP

To whomever already owns or has used this phone:
What would you say its greatest weaknesses/strengths are?
Does this thing lag or not lag? There seems to be different comments on this one.
How would you compare this to the i8910? If indeed you have used the i8910.
Thanks.
:)
