I must admit I was too quick on slamming the i8000's wireless and GPS settings availability. Still, everything else I said will probably hold water... :P

The Winmo 6.5 update will give the phone 16 million colours; the hardware is very capable of supporting it. In any case, watching HD movies on it is sweet, perfect quality, but the media player does not allow the full 800 x 480 res for videos, but has a max of 720 x 480... retarded.
Battery life is not too bad, but there are definitely some bugs in this beast. UI inconsistencies [opening a text file and closing it reveals the windows file browser open behind it - wtf?], gestures aren't 100% and sensitivity could be improved.
As stated previously, the camera is OK but nothing brilliant.
Simple apps like the torch I have not even found yet, and configuring connections needs a gadget to configure/enable it. Again, how retarded.
I haven't found out how to enable the GPS [TomTom can't find it] and closing apps in general can be a bloody nuisance.
When the phone hasn't been touched for 30 secs it blanks the display, but no 'touching' will revive it. I have to press the phone lock button to lock and unlock it to gain control again.
I've had the 'color spinner' last for such a long time on simple things such as connecting a bluetooth serial port. I've also had quite a few problems with wireless not connecting [or attempting to connect indefinitely] because it gets itself in a weird state. A reboot makes it all work fine again.
Opera Mobile either is completely inconsistent of touch interfaces or I'm missing it. When I zoom in on a webpage, I can't pan. Web browing without knowing how to pan is useless on this device.
Major oversights in the design with problems that are so blatant it's actually quite scary that they were overlooked.
Windows Mobile 6.5 is an update, OK, so how/when will I be notified of how to get it? All in all it's not a bad phone [best of the Windows devices, including HTC spec-wise] but I'm hoping that Samsung release an update that addresses some of the major software letdowns.

Teh Guru, 04 Aug 2009If they have a phone like this with capacitive multi touch ... moreYeah, kida disappointing this phone is resistive touch and not capacitive.
Anyway, does anyone know if i will be able to get offline maps and make use of the A gps?
(hopefully free, if you know what i mean)
I know this could be aimed at any winmo device, but since i will be checking this thread more often it'll suit me :D.
I was thinking offline maps of:
uk
General Europe
China
Hong Kong

Disadvantages is :-
1) No build in touch pen compare to B7610
2) No build in keypad compare to B7610
3) No touch focus camera
4) No dual mode (W&L) compare to B7610
The last point is ... VERY EXPENSIVE IN MALAYSIA!!!!!!
