Hey Guys Check N900. Amazing phone.. Really.. Worth Buying.. and N900 is faaaaaaaar better than any other phone.. Read Reviews there guys..

Please help me!!!
I bought a samsung omnia 2 i8000 from BELL(already unlock) in ebay. It's already been shipped, i also browse the website of BELL and i saw the specification of samsung omnia 2 they sell support HSPA which make me confuse if it will cause a problem to my phone since i think here in Philippines, there is no HSPA only HSDPA and GSM network.

There are some people here who know me(2 from philippines,1 from saudi arabia) and can confirm i don't work for samsung. In fact,i'm a military police officer in Romania. So, still to say stupid things like that,although i said many times the contrary..well..it's just lame and shows the limitations of some of you. I'd like to work for samsung, the money wouldn't hurt. But, since i'm doing this on my free time, i don't have any obligation to you. And if you don't respect the things i do, what's the point on continuing? If i don't answer stupid questions, i'm accused to be mean..so...i rather not answering at all...if you still want my help,but only on serious matters, contact me on email. Simple as that. I will ignore any other questions.

This is the place i learned everything. And still finding new stuff every day. Just be patient. It took me about 3 months to learn almost there is to know. most of the things you are asking are in the manual.
Another place you can learn much about basics functions of the phone is the review made here on gsmarena, but it's hard to think. Never understood why you people are so hard-headed and close-minded.
Again, enjoy the omnia. If there will be another Lawrence posting here, it won't be me.

I hope you will reconsider. Do not stop posting on this web site. You probably don't have any idea how much help you are giving to a lot of people. Believe me, you are great. Just like a smart phone, you are not perfect but you are really really really great. You have helped me a lot and I am pretty sure you have helped a lot of people. With all due respect to all who have been contributing here, which I have read all since I have my Omnia II and have learned a lot from their posts also, you know your stuff better than everybody else.I have read all your posts since you started posting here and you always make sense.
I can feel that you are frustrated because most of us dont know much, can not follow instructions and then will posts some comments that are uncalled for. Please remember that most people just dont have the savvy to use smart phones and that include me but we will learn gradually, if not as fast as we would like to. There are many many reasons why people buy smart phones, reasons ranging from plainly hilarious to trying to cope with the ever-advancing technology. It hit home with me- I bought it for the simple reason that I like the screen, it is so pretty that I cant help but get it. Stupid , but human beings are like that. My advice to you, for our sake,is to answer only or give comments that is worth your time. Simple things or stupid stuff, people will figure out what it is. Most people are intelligent enough or have the common sense to find out the answers.
I HOPE you will reconsider your decision. We need you.

If it's hardware, well....i'm not a gsm service.I can't give a "diagnosys" until i don't know all the details. Loosing signal...not so detailed...maybe it's the area you live in, maybe the signal there is too weak,it could be the gsm receiver on your phone...it could be anything.By flashing a newer software,improved, maybe you will ahve a stronger receiver. MAYBE.
@ Anrey_C...yeah..you're 100% right. I think this will be my last post here. I'm getting really tired to explain same things over and over, just because you and others are just LAZY. It's so hard to use a simple search function here, not to mention the mighty GOOGLE. How do you think i learned all i know?I understand questions about special functions,features,about roms, how to flash, how to upgrade, but some of you didn't bother to read the damn manual and you are asking ...pff..never mind. It was a pleasure helping some of you guys, i'm happy if some of my advices helped you...but i'll stop supporting this thread.Good bye and enjoy the omnia(those of you who know how to use a smartphone, the rest go back to nokia 1100, best phone ever.It even has a flashlight.)

It seems that after experiencing weak signal for some time the device just gives up and then doesn't reconnect when signeal is available again. You responded that is could be hardware or software. How do I establish which one?
