I Bought My Samsung i8000 5 desember 2009 and i love this phone so much you can do a lot just hope wm7 will be supported on this phone

thanks for your attention,i read your messege,i'm not an amature user ,i know how to use electronic devices .i tryed every thing which could improve the quality ,but nothing didnt happen.i quess it problems come from hardwares.
P.s new problem happend today,when i choose internal memory for saving video and photoes,after that there is a messege which says :the files are corrupted.i'm going to format the memory.

I have to agree with you that the manual is poorly written. Korean English is much to be desired I guess. Start with the manual and you`ve got to play around with your phone. It took me a while to get my head around. Sure the phone has a few weak areas and it`s no iphone, on the whole it`s not a bad performer.
I`m not claiming the photos are the best I have taken on a digital unit, but it`s decent enough. The builtin photo enhancer app is handy to correct some shortfalls due to incorrect settings. You have probably not got the right settings for photos or videos. Here`s what you should do to get reasonable quality. Select camera,tap on the second icon on the left ( looks like a TV ). In the shooting mode select Single ( I suspect yours may be in Smile, the photos or videos may not be sharp in this mode if forced taken).When taking shots press shutter half, wait for green box, then press shutter full. Now I`m sure the photos will put a smile on your face.
Indoor lighting is enough for indoor photos. The flash is not very powerful, but if lighting is poor and you need strong flash, try this. In the Camera mode select the last icon on the left ( spanner & gearwheel ). In settings, select ISO Auto. Select ISO 400. ( this is full flash )
Here one way to connect to Wifi, there`s more ways. Tap the wifi icon on top of the main screen, after you have started your phone. This will open up several boxes at the top of the screen with icons. Tap the wifi icon. Select WI-Fi and done.

I am planning to buy a good touch screen phone ..I am bit confused between HTC wildfire & Samsung I8000 Omnia ..Even though HTC is bit cheaper I want to know user opinions..Also how is Wifi connectivity of both phones through home router & also picture & video quality

i bought my omnia 2 about 6 days ago these are my problems:
1.the preinstalled windows is wm 6.5 .but the camera quality at both the video and photo taking is rubbish.(its a complaine to GSMARENA,BECAUSE WHAT THEY SHOE AT THE WEB SITE IS FAR from what i,m expeiencing.the mannuls are the worth ,dont waste your time,it seems that some elementry kid have wrote them.,althout i have searched for 6 days,yet i dont know how to update the camera or device,the wifi systems is really complicated.my perevius mobiles were:N70,N73,P990,U600,N82,N86.i wish i could change THE OMNIA2 with x6 of nokia.

Please do not bicker anymore. If it continues, at some point one or both of you could be barred from this forum. If that happens it will certainly be a loss to the rest of us. The both of you have so much knowledge and are ready to share. The rest of us are just users of the phone and need people like you both to help sort the problems we may encounter.
Samsung`s after sales service is poor,we certainly appreciate all the help you both can give us.

Well I would like first to greet you a pleasant gudevening, and I would like to answer your questions well OMNIA II has OpenGL ES 2.0 which is very flexible and dynamic and Yes! OpenGl ES 1.x has a shader compiler which directly runs GPU which OMNIA II doesn't have and HTC HD2 has OS Qualcomm Snapdragon latform so it has OpenGL ES 1.x that runs GPU for its 3D gaming and who needs that eventhough the 3D graphics for 3D gaming for OMNIA II is not that good atleast OMNIA II has lots of features for you to enjoy and atleast OMNIA II is much better comparing to your Nokia 1616 that has Bouncing ball game and Asphalt 4 for OMNIA II is much better compared to that game bouncing ball and If you want a OpenGL ES drivers that has a shader compiler which runs directly GPU for 3D gaming then go buy a Laptop and not a phone atleast you will enjoy all 3D gaming you want ok my dear friend who's always wining, explaining why OMNIA II doesn't have OpenGL ES 1.x that has a shader compiler that run's GPU for graphics for 3D gaming...thank you

I have problem with my Omnia II. After 1 week after purchasing, something wrong happened with bluetooth and wifi. I still can turn on the bluetooth and wifi, but they can't detect any bluetooth devices or wifi signal in a wifi area. I already compared with Nokia 5800 side by side at the same place and the same time, the Nokia can detect while my Omnia can't. Anyone ever experiencing the same problem? Any help for me guys?

i have tried to install the cd that came with my I8000 to my computer but it can not, instead i get a message to install adobe flash player 8 or higher. i have installed adobe flash player 10 to my computer but the cd still cannot install. Please what i do?

n the surprises u get when u launch the screen diagnostic lcdtest.exe in the windows folder after 4-6 months
when i ws using/developing software for the i8000...

also tet9 isn't an IP Address...
IP addresses typically go like this 192.168.1.225
255.255.255.255 being the highest values... so as u can see the "Samsung 4 Life person is a wack-job"

Buy OMNIA II? let these ppl decide for them selves...
also WinMo 6.5.3 is the last stable update by Samsung/Microsoft
after tht WinMo is Succeeded by WinMo7 which isn't compatible

WinMo 6.5.3
it has probs wit Open GL drivers n the screen display when u use the swype keyboard n resco file explorer
in the end do watever u want...
bt i say ditch this mob... go for something else frm samsung or htc or watever....
