That's depends on your usage, using battery saver app won't help a lot. We can decrease brightness, turn off Bluetooth, turn off GPS, to save battery life.

To s3mini user to extnd batt charge you must manually on/off the ff. Appl, make sure to close this when not in use wifi.gps.mobile data.synch.bluetooth. and screen rotate, the screen should be dim if its ok to you to 30 or 40% if not last option is 50, always check if there are unwanted running applications at the appl mngr make sure to kill it, this is the appl you downloaded not the default appl.

S3 is much better because its on high version category, but on midrange category i prefer S3mini than S dous, much higher RAM and higher CPU is better.

Im using s3 mini for me its agood phone for a midrange android phone, for anyone who cant decide what phone they should buy, here u need to consider check the internal memory should at least higher to 8gb and ram 1gb or above , and about cpu definitely a dual core much higher much better at least 1ghz and above it defend on what ur habit on your phone if games or browsing, and the screen must have high pixels like amoled or other not TFT. About the camera it defends on the model video must be 30fps. For other details you check the specs at the gsm arena that way you can decide on your own on what phone is best for you
