The phone was a pretty good phone for the time, and the one I have still holds up pretty well The only problem with the phone is the old version of Android (Android 4.1 is barely supported by any apps) and it having only 1GB of RAM (which was more than enough for the time, but today, this doesn't hold up all that well)

Zy, 26 May 2022Found 1 in the trash and its only use is for youtube go, te... moreyeay.. same as me.. i have ace 3 and s 3 mini.. for both battery drain so fast.. just 3 hour for ace 3 and going shut down if 60%, for s 3 mini up to 4 hours.. but if stand by in airplane mode ace 3 up to 10 days amd s3 mini just 4 days.. over all function hardware still work.. just software make it not functional like open youtube apps..

Found 1 in the trash and its only use is for youtube go, telegram and google notes since some stuff doesn't work well on a 4 inch screen. Better than the ace 3 which I used at 15 though as well as the galaxy ace before it.

PixelatedFolf, 23 Nov 2021I got mine from my aunt today and its pretty good except th... moreSadly google kinda bricked any phones with an android version older than 4.4 (which i also expect to no longer recieve app updates next year), you can't use youtube, google or whatsapp anymore since they no longer recieve updates and are stuck on the outdated versions.
Since the S3 mini was a pretty popular phone, there are custom roms for it based on newer versions of android but flashing one is complicated and risky for a beginner.
These can still be used as regular phones for talking, texting and photos and they excell at that, but it's just a bit sad that you can't really do that much on them anymore.

I got mine from my aunt today and its pretty good except the fact I can't download any stuff cause of the OS and like, the YouTube app is stuck on this update thing. Any help?

I am still using mine. Forced to switch this weekend to newer phone by my carrier, but would still be using mine until the cows come home otherwise. Love the size with the big screen. Fits in any pocket just fine. Will miss my phone :(.......

This phone was a pretty good small phone for 2017 although not fast it still did simple jobs like basic texing and calling and ran minecraft somewhat acceptable.
