I cannot belive how many comments with the specs are crap, or how could this bare the name sIII. You dont realise that this is a very good piece of technology. I would buy it, because the 5mp camera is arhisuficient for me, and the processor is very good. Very superficial opinions these days.

I was thinking, its just the screen size was changed.... the series name also GT 8190, even seems like lower than galaxy S and Galaxy SII. it is more similar to GALAXY ACE 2 (GT 8160) and GALAXY W (GT 8150). if this phone goes to the MID end device, then it should be having a different name rather than SIII mini. It makes the "S", downgraded.

S4 pro + Adreno 320 could have done a wonder worrier to this phone.

This might not be 'top spec', but it's not meant to be. It's meant to be a cheaper, smaller alternative to those people who don't want to shell out money for the actual SIII, which I have.

Samsung worse adventures in history with cheap mini S III,spoiling their best selling "grant" gsIII image and status.
Now, I have completely lost interest even in buying galaxy SIII.
will move to lumia 920 when released.

It may look a bit superior to s advance in specs with that 1 gb ram vs 768 mb on the s advance but on digging deeper it is not.infact it's inferior in some areas.
s advance for example has a 1.3 mp front cam vs 0.3 mp on the mini.plus mini also doesn't have an ambient light sensor.though it does has newer software but seeing all this it makes no sense for s3 mini to be priced above s advance.

What's the point to use the "S3" here? Mini, Micro, Nano..... are ok. S3 users feel cheated.

costs around $400 here in the UK.
so bang for the buck phone not to forget the S3 look and jellybean out of the box is the key selling point OF THIS PHONE.
although I dont know why samsung launched this,since there was an existing galaxy S advance at a slightly cheaper price with almost same specs present(currently on 2.3 but going to get direct JB update).
maybe they decided to sell the phone on S3 name or as a direct competition to xperia P which also has similar processor and 1gb ram

Oh God! again Novathor U8420! really sucks. why not Snapdragon S4 MSM8627 1ghz duel core with adreno 305 gpu? Samsung now making profit, their smartphone price too high. They now cheating customer.

Whats the special in this phone? Except Dual core.
No Gorilla glass
No better front camera.
Just 5 MP main camera.
GPU?
223 ppi pixel density
battery low
of course jelly bean out of box.
What samsung trying to sell this kind of phone.
SII will be better in the same price range may be little old one.
