Rondelle, 29 Dec 2008You have to switch Ediquite mode on from phone settings.u sure the phone have this "Ediquite Mode" thingy?
Why i can't find it? Mind to advise?

Maybe u can get a third party software to help keep track of your call records.

brc, 29 Dec 2008u can always just answer the phone/ make calls with the sli... morewhat about the unlimited entries u can have in ur calls.is there a setting for that cause all mine shows is the last 20.and pitty it dont show the defferent dialed times of each number.

i gotta say... after having the phone for like 7 weeks now... every phone Ive ever owned (about 10) after about the first 2 weeks im pretty much over it and bored.. I think i like this phone more now than when i first got it.. lovin this phone!

hello..
This is really brilliant handset made by samsung in 2008 sofar...
there is small question regarding bluetooh ...since thais a symbian phone facing trouble with bluettoth transfer with n958gb/n95 and other nokia except 9500 communicator..the phone able to send object but cannot recieve...what could the exact probelm ..
your technical help will be appricated.

brc, 29 Dec 2008u can always just answer the phone/ make calls with the sli... moreyes i know abt message details but i mean that on the messages lists,older fones had the date and time stamped for each message.it seems like a high teck fone misses many basics. on this fone we have to go into every messages` details.not convenient.

it supports OTA firmware updates, so as long as Sumsung enables this on one of their servers, then make the details available to us users (there's no settings pre-defined in the phone) then OTA firmware updates will work. i need to know how to find the settings.
Under tools | device manager | options there is a "check for updates". It needs a server profile to be setup, and of course it is not defined with that info, but I assume that is where OTA updates will be initiated.

does anyone know or have the settings needed to define the profile for ota firmware update? when i select to update firmare, it then takes me to the option to set up the server/user name settings and i am not familiar with them. thanks to anyone that can assist me with this.

My lens cover gave me a scare. The cover would open nicely, But when i exited the Camera, The cover would partially close half way or not close at all. It would get stuck. I cleaned around and on top the lens cover very gentle, Gave it a nice blast of canned air and now it works fine. My guess there was a piece of dust or dirt in the cover mechanism. Has this ever happened to anyone?

if you want to view message details..u need to..umm open 'message details' in options

Just bought the i8510. Great phone. Only got LED flash but surprised how good it was considering. Heard comments about the dust and got worried after ordering. Have decided keep phone and not return under 14 day return clause and to leave screen film from packaging on for few days until proper one arrives off Ebay. As I know of a dust problem then i'll be making sure I dont get it near dust then! I had same problems with my old Nokia 6280 but it wasnt that awful (well the dust anyway, cos phone was worst i've owned lol!)
No issues with battery but then again I did charge it overnight prob 12 hours plus and had no probs with usage time. As with any new phone I've been playing loads even then got 36 hours out of battery. With average usage this will go to 3 day plus which for me is fine. Good hint is to allow running on 2g rather than 3g if you can. No past/present owners of N95 can slag this phone off for battery life!! Old SE users like me will find it more than acceptable. Bear in mind that any new battery will take several charging cycles to get to optimum performance.
All round am very happy. I am however disgusted by the level of insults and name calling that goes on in this forum. Get a life you bunch of kids!
