Fortunately i haven't had the same experience on my innov8 ! but i guess it would be the same case ( the warnings that are given when you wanna install third party softwares aren't useless !) , but it can be a problem on hardware .

WC, 14 Nov 2008I was debating with Innov8 and N96 and I bought Innov8. I ... moreThis happened in nokia fones and i think you have to copy the contact to the fone memory OR it happens when you have both the contact in sim and on fone i wish i could remember,,but it is solvable..Not to happy with some comments as all reports i have read and thats 6 reviews/reports that the fone is the best at the moment with the only flaw in pre-production models is the lip sync issue which i hope has been solved..
What i am waiting for along with xperia is a review,, because with gsmarena doing so many they comment on things comparible to other fones so we get a good idea of the fone and not only do they report genuine flaws in any fone But also judged on price and class of fone i.e. this is an expensive fone and the cam is terrible OR for such a cheap fone its full of customisation and apps,,,,,if you know what i mean so rather than judging the fone they also consider other factors,,,,,,
MY contract can be renewed in 10 days at the earliest so still undecided and the fact that their is a really huge gap in decent flipfone market is another letdown.ITS xperia,,innov8,,bb flip pearl,,htc touch pro,,nokia e90 or bother the lot and end contract cause year after year i dont think the handsets get near my favourite foma and docomo fones or sharp mobiles of the asia markets,,huh

This seemed to me to be an awesome phone, but since I was upgrading from a Nokia 6230 it seemed extra exciting.
I should not be too harsh on my Nokia 6230 though as it has lasted me nearly 5 years without breaking, and my new i8510 only lasted 5 days before the ear piece stopped working, so I could not hear anyone if they phoned me.
Its been sent back to Samsung who are fixing it.
But apart from it breaking, I think its a great phone. The camera is awesome, the games installed look great, and i'm looking forward to getting it back.
Not too sure how the battery life is. It seemed to run down fairly quickly, but as it was new, i was using all the different features a lot more than I will after i've had it a few weeks.

It´s so sad to realize that 99% of the people here make comments without even seeing the phone live...comments based on nothing, they´ve never seen or used the phone...but they have strong opinions about it...and worst, they compare to another models that they will never get close to either... if u can´t get a life, get the phone at least, then you can say something. Sorry for u.

B... moreWhen Nokia release Corolla with 8 megapixel camera and VGA(640x480 pixel) screen sometime in 2009, then Samsung release 12 megapixel camera phone with WVGA(800x480 pixel) screen. Samsung have already developed it for the next year.

The Innov8 is better than N96, in terms of camera, processor, battery life, 3G connctivity speed, and build quality (N96 is made of plastic, while this is made of metals used in making airplanes). But this is heavier than N96 (beacuse of metal parts) and N96 is more beautiful.

1. Innovate does not have automatic internet settings
2. Bad battery life
3. Bad signal (samsung signal...)
4. Big and ugly
5. software updater over the air does not work
6. full of bugs
7. pretty decent pictures (the only positive thing worth to mention)
I will stick to my reliable NOKIA N82, and in a few months I will get Nokia Corolla (8mpx camera and VGA screen)

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2008 Second when people on my contact calls me it won't display... moreas I understand it, it's theme related. If you use any of the 3 pre-set themes they display fine. However when I've downloaded themes meant for S60 phones, it doesn't display.

I was debating with Innov8 and N96 and I bought Innov8. I found some disappointment with Innov8, first battery sux so bad...It'll barely last through the day and it's not like I've been playing with multimeadia or playing music out loud or taking pictures all day nor talking on the phone all day. Second when people on my contact calls me it won't display their name even though I stored name and number but only number comes out when people call me...does anyone else have these issues???
