Hi, may I ask this for those who already own this phone? As I just bought it today, been trying out this accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, but no matter how I rotate the phone, the foto just won't rotate as like my LG secret, if based on the accelerometer...
Does any one also experience this?? Or is it that I dunno how to use this??

Other than that malfunction... I really am satisfied with innov8 actually, well symbian os I supposed. Really glad that I had bought it... Videos great, pics nice, and cool 8GB memory. Some more, black and camera protected! Lovely. I had no regret selling of my N95(1st gen) mths back. Haha...

I search this phone and read all review about this phone. All review said this is the best Symbian S60 smartphone now. This is true. If u don't believe me, just search for urself. Don't believe all opinion from another brand fanboys, they're just jealous.
Also this phone has good camera comparing with Canon Digital Camera 7.1 megapixel.

Can't wait this phone available in my country.

The whole fone is brilliant,,wat else did you do,,did you experiment with cam,,try supeb video record,,use alarm to wake you up,,go on internet using any of the browsers,,did you comment on battery life,,screen quality,,any software slowness????? Fancy getting it off your dad for 5 minutes probably just taking a foto,,not even adjusting settings never mind printing it out,,you do not need a smarfone in your life trust me,,these things nearly mirror my laptop besides ripping cds complex photo editing,,i give up with some people why spend so much money on a device to do nothing most people have these smartfones set up to run their lives!!!

i bought the phone last week. . Its really good. . But tbh the hardware is great but the software support or support as a whole is not as great. . Samsung pc studio itself is a look alike of old nokia pc suit(but i like it that way too so that you feel home). . Well i am having a problem with route 66 . . Ie. After opening route 66 when i press options by clicking the left soft key the application terminates without any warning. . In short i'm not able to access the options in route 66. . Am i the only one facing this? What do i do to get it working? I used the route 66 memory card i got with the phone to install it on the mass memory. . Please do leave your suggestions and solutions. .
                  Sent using innov8 ;-)

Have you download map for navigation?
Map is saved hidden directory, So you can't check file manager.
If you download, you can delete map.

                    1) Applications->Navigation start.
                    2) Press Options->Extra->Maps
                    3) Select map
                    4) Press Options and delete map.

For map download 8G mass storage, you have to make directory in the mass storage.

                    \system\apps\ROUTE66_v8

You can connect your device and PC using USB cable.
Then you can see your mass storage in the PC like a external memory.

                    Bye..

                        Shut up and listen this...

Today I got this mobile from Dubai because in India this phone is going to be available in mid November.

This is a incredible phone. Best phone I ever had. Camera is rocking and superb. Sound quality is truly cool. Very loud and clear. Touch navigation and optical mouse is a extra cool advantage.

To all nokia crap fanboy just accept this truth that nokia is gone for present moment. It might be that they come with phone cooler than this but it will be possible in mid 2009. So for now Samsung rocks....

trust me I have a phone in my hand by the grace of GOD...

Just picked this model up at the Samsung showroom here in Singapore. Its indeed more than meets the eye. I think the million dollar question is how does this compare to N96?

To be honest, both models have its pros and cons. Let's start with the i8510 (innov8),

                                  Pros:

                                  > Solid Built with push up slider (less control than n96)
                                  > Camera and features of 8MP is excellent
                                  > Sound playback via stereo speakers are crisp and loud
                                  > Menu effects and GUI similar to Omnia
                                  > S60 interface well implemented and fast

                                  Cons
                                  > Battery is not long lasting - need to daily charge
                                  > Paint job looks cheap and may peel off
                                  > No future firmware updates via web at least till now with their other s60 devices(unlike Nokia and SonyEricsson)
                                  > No pushmail software and no mention of this feature on this phone ... have to download third party sw

The N96 has certainly got its share of the game as well. The main two advantages over innov8 is the LiveTV function and dedicated music controls via 2-way slider. It does lose out in camera quality and sound output. However when placed over headsets, they both produce similar quality. Of course the other advantage is Nokia provides free push mail sw and free firmware upgrades over the web which does help to optimize phone efficiency, battery performance and provide critical updates. This can be clearly seen from the orig N95 which has improved so much in performance and battery life due to firmware updates.

It basically boils down to personal choice, pricing (which has a good deal with the operator), after sales support. Either go with a reliable manufacturer who has years of experience in Symbian or go with one that provides the jazz and whistles of entertainment. I'd let you make that choice.

You need to connect for no more than a second or 2 every 7 days to download the satellite location information. The amount you download is very small and wouldn't cost very much at all.

GPS software is a bit tricky because of incompatibility issues. One that does work is CoPilot 7. It's excellent with all the sat nav functions you'd expect and it DOES NOT require a network connection at any time.

Push mail is available on this model since it also runs on S60 similar to Nokia. Only drawback, Samsung does not have a Push Mail SW for their S60 models similar to Nokia and SonyEricsson which have their proprietary MFE (Mail for Exchange) s/w. U need to buy this off a third party. Its available on www.dataviz.com and i think it costs about US$40 for a license.

With Nokia & SE, they are free and can be downloaded from their website. Hope this helps!

Had this phone for a few days now and it's awesome. Much faster than the N95, don't know if the N96 will also be faster. Camera, video and divx playback are simply amazing. Music player is better than N81's and PC connectivity is better than Nokias in general. Only downside is the 1000mAh battery I got with the 8GB version. You'll probably want to charge it at least every other day.

My rating 9.5/10 (would be 10/10 with a better battery)
