Potential bargain of the decade: if this is not a spelling mistake, it would appear that the Innov8 will sell for £249.00 SIM free from the Carphone Warehouse in the UK according to their latest brochure. Surely, this is an error. If not, this device will be sold out within 1 week.

Interesting ad for those looking at Sim free.

Could this be a mistake seems cheap?

It is correct that you can't get an online firmware update, but if the firmware did need updating it can be done at the service/repair centre under the terms of the warranty.

Please ignore Barrack Obama and John McCain. They are both the same person and he has some serious issues with Samsung. Well, he actually hates (and I mean HATES) anything thats not Nokia, so he's clearly closed minded and heavily biased so his rants should not be taken too seriously.

        Hope this helps

                  Samsung doesn't upgrade firmwares.

                  Samsung products have Durability Issues.
Samsung faces a lot of cases and suites in their products.

Samsung suppress consumers rights to own durable products.

However, I still cannot find a firmware update in download session of Samsung website.
What is the process of updating firmware? I mean, via PC suite or just download from the website?
                    Tks.

uh huh.., 02 Sep 2008those who remain quiet are either stupid, coward or arrogan... moreHa, ha, ha, there you go again. I didn't expect you (uh huh) to actually "reply". In fact, I didn't specify anyone in particular, did not intend to target anyone too. That was based on my observation in general but looks like you ate chilis and felt hot yourself. Just too bad. It's OK, go on, I'm sure you'll "reply" again but I won't waste time responding. You already called me coward, arrogant or stupid for keeping quiet & humble but using these offensive words already betrayed your personality to everyone reading here. I suggest you take sometime off from any website forums, chill up somewhere, watch some movies (non-violent ones) or workout in a gym to stabilize your mind. You have too much anger in you and try to accept that there's no perfection in life. Your angle of approach in things you see in life is certainly detrimental to you or your health in years to come. Just a thought - for your benefits. Cheer up friend!!

OK i respect your point but lets get things right okay!!!

.the Nokia n85 has the best display ever put in a phone its called amoled unlike the display of the innov8(LCD)the n85 display outmatches it in nearly every single way, brighter better refresh rate etc., and 30% more power efficient.

.About the battery the nokia n85 has better battery life then the innov8 because it uses a more a efficient display gsmarena can even approve that!

.OK now the light sensor the innov8 might have a light sensor but because it ain't stated anywhere on gsmarena i thought it never had one.

.Now the innov8 definitely does NOT have music buttons, dual slide, dual flash, gaming buttons, navi wheel,FM transmitter, 28 hours of music playback, software updating, HSCSD, UPnP technology.

I said this once and I'm going to say it again

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THE INNOV8!!

                            Thank you for reading.

I hear CPW will get the 16GB ver on O2 next week so I am waiting till then to see if that is the case.

Visted CPW on the way home from work and they have them in stock, but only on Orange. I got the Sales Rep to show me as they weren't on display. Quite impressed with the size, not as big as I imagined definitely slimmer than the N95 and maybe a tad longer. I'm definitely swaying towards purchasing this on O2 from mobiles.co.uk rather than wait for the new Nokia's.
