I think you'll find that within the mobile phone industry, Samsung are in DIRECT competition with Nokia.
And what exactly do you base your theory that Nokia are superior on? Market Share? Bear in mind that Nokia only have the higher market share becasue of their long standing reputation and the sheer volume of their low-end portfolio that they sell to developing nations.
Hardware-wise, they are not superior at all, in fact, based on their current offerings they're lagging. Badly.
Open your mind mate, comments like that make you sound a little foolish.

nokia n85 & n96 are more exciting than this samsung phone. i8510's design is boring and uncceptable. it ain't my taste. i'd go for n96 or n85 rather than this i8510. i don't think it will sell a lot like nseries.

well i trust so much in gsmarena but the photo samples in the preview are so impressive that i don't know what to think.....i own a g800 and is the best mobile taht i have ever owned

Just ordered mine from mobiles.co.uk, Free Phone, £40 a month, 12 month Orange Racoon Contract. Getting it Saturday YEEEEEHAAAAAA Striker is a happy happy man!!!!

I ordered the i8510 on o2 yesterday from Mobiles.co.uk. I had a phone call today to say that the phone will be in stock tomorrow but will only be available on Orange for the first week. I was told if i switched to Orange I would have the phone this Saturday. I declined the offer as I do not wish to switch networks. Customer service ensured me that themselves/ carphonewarehouse will be the first place in the UK to have the handsets on both networks.
