if you compare bitween the innov8 and n96 you will find them very similar in ways

and here are the main diffrenses
        n96 over innov8
1-carl zeiss optics (wich i believe counts for some thing)
        2-DVB-H TV broadcast receiver
        3-Dual slide design
4-Push to talk (it can be very useful for some)

        innov8 over n96
1-8 mp camera (and its capabilities)
2-video recoding at 120fps (for slow motion mode)
        3-Camera images geo-tagging

anyway i'll wait for the Xperia

between samsung, SE and nokia mobile camera, i still prefer nokia, as previous comparison in several forum, for example, 5mp camera, they compare between g810, k850, n82 and n95-8gb, really have no idea how could n95-8gb and n82 is much better than g810 and k850. and now, the 8mp war era is soon begin, samsung and SE have their own 8mp, remaining nokia, lets see..

i just learned that nokia n96 does not have the 3D graphics accelerator which is used by flagship nseries phones like n93, n95 & n82. a big step backward! i'm glad samsung innov8 i8510 did not go the same path and include the 3D graphics engine in it.

This samsung is better than Nokia N96, especially the battery, camera... To be fare, I really like the nokia N96, but it takes too long to release and the technology is new everyday which make samsung better...
And sony ericsson C905, it's good but 2.4 inches screen is not enough.
So please do not try to compare Nokia N96 with this samsung. Nokia has to think again.. I thought that the price of Nokia N96 and samsung will be approximtely the same. So, base on what you consider carefully, you will buy the right one for you.. and if you want to compare, make it correcly

i want to hear how the DNse 2.0 sounds like. and also how the optical mouse is used. an optical mouse as defined in www.allaboutsymbian.com is like a touchpad. that's kewl. you can't have a perfect phone. but at least, it edges out the n96 when it comes to features. n96 just repeats the functions of n95 and includes the live tv of n92, but that's all, nothing more. why would i spend 800 euros for n96 when i can get 6220c which has a better camera for 300 euros only? it's just being wise and practical. but samsung i8510 brings something new here. it's actually the first 8 megapixel cameraphone, not se c905. because i8510 will be released next month while c905 & n96's is still unsure when they are going to come out. so, i8510 is the king of phones today.

RDS only make u connect with data networt(GPRS/3G) to know some information about ur favorit radio station.

Some site write that Nokia want to use Samsung camera because Samsung camera are the fastest. If u remember Samsung SGH-E700, it's pioneer in multishot camera mode.

DNSe are Digital Natural Sound Engine. With DNSe u can hear cinematic surround sound & more..

The INNOV8 does in fact have a camera lens cover.

It's automatic like the SE K850's.

                                    http://www.gsmarena.com/8_megapixel_samsung_i8510_primera_turns_out_as_samsung_innov8-news-556.php

Look at the live pictures at the bottom.

The ones of the back have the cover closed.

Okay, the INNOV8 has A2DP, just another feature the N96 has also.

Does the INNOV8 have STEREO FM radio with RDS?

The N96 has STEREO FM radio with RDS, but the specs say the INNOV8 only has FM radio with RDS [mono?].

                                      "-8 megapixel camera
-QVGA 120fps video recording (as well as VGA 30fps video record)"

All I have to say about that is: I've never seen a Samsung with a good camera [any resolution]. Slow interface [slowest, is more like it].

"-available in 8Gb and 16Gb variants (w/ microsd expansion slot)"

The N96 has a 16gb version. Who needs an 8gb version? More for everyone. Making an 8gb would be a waste. People would get mad because they could have paid ever-so-slighly more for twice the memory. The N96 also has a microSD slot.

"-Dual speakers w/ 3D surround sound supported by DNse 2.0"

The N96 has dual stereo speakers with 3D surround sound, even the N95 has that. I have no idea what DNse 2.0 is, so I can't say more about both phones' speakers.

                                      "-HSDPA 7.2 Mbps"

I noticed that the N96 only has 3.6 Mbps, I don't know why.

                                      "-Optical mouse"

The N96 has a scroll wheel. Scroll wheel > optical mouse, anyday. =]

                                      "-DLNA (Digitial Living Network Alliance)"

Hahaha, what? Again, no idea. I'm 15, but I don't know everything about technology. All I know is that I have an N95-1, and it's still the best phone out by far. People say there are better phones, but websites and reviews prove there's nothing better. Face it.

                                      "-1200mah battery"

Wow. N96 has the technology to make it's 950 way better.

Like I already said, the N96 has better speaker placement, multimedia keys, HSCSD,
NGage, live TV [DVB-H], an RSS reader, faster GPRS and EDGE [which don't really matter, haha], microUSB, the N96 is more compact @ 92cc [INNOV8 is 98cc], and STEREO FM radio.

NGage and DVB-H being the biggest ones.

In return, the INNOV8 has this over the N96: 8 megapixel camera with QVGA 120fps video recording, DivX (& WMV) Player, and HSDPA @ 7.2 Mbps.

Even if the Samsung's camera quality holds through, it will be no where near killing the N96, because all it will have is a camera. The other features are too small to matter.

All in all, the N96 and INNOV8 are quite equal in the end. I mean, they are practically the same phone, just the INNOV8 goes more towards being a camera, and the N96 goes towards entertainment [NGage and DVB-H].

Did I mention that the N96 has a far, far better design? Hahaha.

                                      I'm awaiting your replies.
