Run some music or a film in repeat mode with the charger hooked up, Let it run all night...............then unplug charger, let the film run again over and over until the battery is COMPLETELY empty and phone turns off
Then plug in the charger (not the USB one) but the AC charger and leave it charge with the phone off,
Before doing that (this is important) download and install Jbak Taskman and disable ''screen capture'',
this is what did it for me.

Do a sear... moreyou've got 3 days batt life under normal use?! Are you kidding me? I've even updated mine to the latest firmware yet the batt life is still sh!t.
Ive turned off the 3g band, set the brightness to the lowest, I don't run any app in the background and still it run out of juice in less than a day.

lacadud, 06 Aug 2009I am new to the i8510 family..i would like to ask how long ... moreYup, the Innov8's battery doesn't last long. I've swap my N95 8G for Innov8 and I do admit that I'm quite disappointed specifically with batt life. It even gets warm when I'm browsing the net which something I haven't experience with my N95. And installing 3rd party app is not hassle-free. The only thing that is commendable is the build quality, but for me the battery issue ruins everything.

I am new to the i8510 family..i would like to ask how long can the battery last for..mine only last for a day with few sms and few calls n most of them last for 1 or 2 mins only. I also want to ask if there is any new firmware for the phone n i am looking for the hk firmware..thx

Mine works fantast... morei have not seen any offical firmware update for the uk but if i a wrong would love a link for that one as for photos i do sometimes print my photos so still hoping samsung have somthing up there sleeves,i do think this phone is great thats why i am holding out for a updated vision because i dont like any of the othere models out there

Mine works fantastic since I updated. 7 days standby about 3 with normal use.
The camera is also fantastic.
BTW, 12 mp or 8mp makes NO difference. IN fact, if you take the photos at highest res they will be about 4MB each.
Megapixel is bogus UNLESS you print out your fotos. For the rest (to show on computer ) 5 MP is plenty.

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2009I am not in USA, I just put the price in USD for easy conve... morethe pixon 8mp came out last year after the innov8 and samsung as already released the pixon 12mp i have the innov8 and i am readdy for an upgrade but holding out and hoping samsung are going to release a new innov8 with a 12mp and better flash my wife has the pixon 8mp phone and dont really get on with it my only real upset with the innov8 is that there was never a firmware update for it

just wondering.. with all these new phones coming out, would you still recommend to purchase this phone? The outright price here is still around USD 575.. much more expensive than in US I believe CMIIW.

I've been using this phone for 3 month, the camera is great but lacking of battery power. I am having difficulty with PC Studio in windows xp - it can't detect my phone but in vista it can. The PC Studio is very alike Nokia PC Suite.

since im usa owner of this phone and this is european model and thats what i also have, its been a real mess trying to get my messaging settings to work with this phone, because no matter how i put the settings in from my provider, the phones still limited. im think of switching to samsung i8910 omnia hd
