Is got a 720mhz stock cpu and 374 ram. These numbers tells the speed it not too good. But after you root it and then overclock it to 900mhz it is pretty good. Speed matching stock N1 and Desire. Which are 1ghz snapdragons with 500mb + ram.
@ qwertyqazza - What are you smoking? It is a pico projector not a full power projector that lets you project in daylight. Perhaps in 5 years or so pico projector can be powerful enough... Is basically for use in a dark room with a small audience. Projects up to about 60''+ with good details.
@Angry jeffrey - You are spot on here. Doubtful the Beam will get any updates in the form of Froyo anytime soon (if ever). Prolly rather release Beam II than a froyo.
@luke - Dun buy from Starhub, it is a rip at 1199 SGD. Just get it at a regular phone shop in SG for about 900ish.

Could anybody tell me the price of this phone at starhub. I am in the uk and will b in singapore for a day in november and would like to buy this phone with no monthly subscription. I cant find out on the starhub website as it says this phone is unavailable from my country any help would be good. Oh and would i be able to change the phone to english

Ps. I bet that the camera that is on beam is the same one as on my phone. That is why galaxy s and wave are way better when it comes to quality and thats 5mpix sensor.

Hi there!
I have i8910 and phone spec were amazing but as usual no updates from samsung. When it comes to beam: no official release date no info on stock, phone is only released in singapore for some strange marketing reasons, samsung didnt put enough effort to port android to this phone. Dont even think about updates for it in the future (eq froyo) maybe by some rom cooker not samsung thats for sure. This phone will be or it is already abandoned by samsung as they have other projects to finish. It will be the same story like with i8910. Sad but true. I really wanted this phone but im not willing to get it from abroad and pay £400+ (what if something goes wrong with it) I really wish i was wrong but it seems that samsung failed again...i know that they released update to fix the frozen screen but i think that will be the last update for this phone ever.

this phone did not appear in south korea first,it was released in singapore for unknown reasons.i live in singapore and this phone is not that bad but its boring,not quite like galaxy s standard which is expected.. and the projection sucks to the max,its not that clear,its only clear in a pitch dark room.in a quite lit room...dont even talk about it,watching a football math is liike watching a grass field with moving ants!

Can someone tell me how good this phones camera is? I'm really looking for this phone because of it's camera, I want the best Android cameraphone... Is this one the best? Are there any good camera reviews of it? How does it's camera compare to Samsung Omnia HD or Samsung Galaxy S? Simon? Maybe you could tell more about the camera? Is it worth buying the phone for the camera? Since I'm not so much into the Projector, but I do think it has to have a lot better camera than Galaxy S...

beam relesed july 17,2010 and now is september no beam selling.
galaxy S and galaxy tab is already in the phillippines mobiles store market and samsung market. pleased samsung produces beam worldwide it is awesome and nice gadget.

You just want to annoy some people who want to purchase this phone but it's not available
I've been waiting for arriving this phone many months but as far as I see it won't become in Iran
I've investigate & read & ask for many and many phones;All of them have some problems;This phone have some problems too(No Xenon flash & No Lenz cover & no cover for the Projector & etc);but it's lacks are fewer than the other phones
If i order this phone from other countries it may have some problems like registering & updating & Carrying fee & etc
The price is not important to pay for THIS PHONE;It's precious
I believe in high technology of Korean industry
So Galaxy Beam fans & me will be happy if you sent THIS soon
I appreciate if you notice

im really a big fan of the beam after reading up on the specs.does ne1 have the and can give us a hands on review and tell us whats the phone is like . iv never saw 1 in real life

Pete, 16 Sep 2010Hi Simon, where can I get the H1 firmware?Since early August they have this firmware. So unless you have the first batch of Beam and haven't flashed it yet you will have the working firmware.
1. Why isn't Beam released to other countries?
Is most likely produced in limited quantity to test the market.
2. Can you tell me how much does it cost?
Approx 1000 SGD
3. How long will the battery last when use projector?
3-4 hours
4. Is Beam able to upgrade to Froyo?
Of course it can. Provided someone releases the update. Be it officially from samsung or a custom rom by some coder.
