Libby, 29 Jan 2011does anyone know how to have a song for your ringtone inste... moreThere's a developer unlock called chevron!You need windows phone 7 sdk (vm_web.exe) from microsoft site, a windows 7 running pc, a cert file and chevron.exe check xda-developers windows 7 development and hacking section.
After this you can install any third party app or mod!including custom ringtones and file explorer.

Best phone i've had yet.Upgraded from omnia 2 to this one and pooh it's better. The marketplace too is for adults not like android.

Please don’t buy any costly Samsung mobiles. They are interested only in introducing new (useless) mobiles every day. Their after-sale service is very poor. I met a minor (?) problem with my Omnia II (GT-I8000) in India. Its audio jack failed to function properly. Many times it routed the audio to headset on its own. I gave it to the service centre and waiting for the phone for more than three months. Service centre people have so many useless answers but have not given my phone back. I have contacted samsung officials from Delhi to Chennai to Puducherry to......service manager... technicians... but in vain. I am ashamed of Samsung, its after-sale service, customer care....Irresponsible Cheaters.... I may have bought a new mobile for the expenditures I met for making calls and visiting service centre.
I have ever seen so many unsatisfied customers in queues in their customer service stations.
Please don't buy Samsung mobiles

Microsoft said they are going to include more languages in the coming upgrades of WP7, and I am waiting for this. Now I am sticking to the awesome iPhone4 which has almost all the languages the world speak ... Wait for microsoft to release the upgrades to their OS ...

WP7 is considerably faster,has a cleaner UI, better battery life and offers an amazing gaming experience. That is what is important, not some silly technical details - and this comes from a professional software developer.
Next time you pick on a platform, make sure you know what really matters. Hint: pick on navigation and copy/paste, as these are really useful and I truly miss them on my WP7.

So much better than Galaxy S...!
WP7 are fast and robust! Very impressive.
But still only 5megapixels camer, no xenon flash and no SD card.

had my o7 for 2 weeks now and it just gets better and better.The app store is growing as we speak and it has incredible apps to choose from. First get ya microsoft apps , weather ,conversions etc, theyr'e free and 1st class.Then go hell for leather.
Havin a ball with this phone.
