Anyone know how 2 activate ROmPatcher+ ? Someone told me to enable it which I did i did by clicking on All Patches and selected "Apply" . . . All the icons r now green except Open4ALL_RP+ which is red and later turned blue by itself ...Still getting " UPDATE ERROR " when i trying to install the file , even tried signing it but doesnt seem 2 work

Is there a language pack for Symbian on this phone or changing the firmware is the only alternative I have ?

Hi Symbios, Hamid, Wole, Sajad, XXX, Rohit and others, You guys are real heroes helping out a lot of people like me. I have bought my i8910 a couple of months back and have been following your suggestions. You guys just ROCK!
I just now thought how can I help you back. Just saw your blog http://my8910hd.blogspot.com/ that is good. but how about a seperate website which would contain a similar blog and other stuff. I mean a blog where you guysonly can make posts and a forum where all others can discuss. I am a software engineer and I am into web development. I used 2 use 5.00.6 but i am kinda lazy 2 download it again after debranding my phone ... 5.00.3 doesnt mean 2 work but some user manage to get it 2 work . It's due to touch screen error where u cant select anything by pressing on the touch-screen . 2 be on the save side , just dl the latest version , should b able 2 work fine and yes , its has voice navigation but since i got GPS in the car , I didnt install it along wit my set . Just follow the instruction given n u'll b fine . No internet connection required

thanks thanks thanks a lot man u caught my problem,bro u are right about that sss voice it is the one which ur saying i mean ur right,let me tell u bro. i m using this phone for past 5 months [ i purchased it on the eve of eid],initially i was not getting that ssss neither out of my headphone nor speakers but for past 5 to 6 days i m getting this ssss voice but only and only through speakers not through headphone, it would be a great help if u provide me that default advance setting data,thanks in advance bro i hope my speakers r fine

sunita, 21 Jan 2010hi experts, i an from india.. Should i flash my phone or wa... morei'm no expert either but i'm sure that flashing would void the warranty in india. so i would suggest you wait for the official firmware update.

You mean you had that issue after the hard rese... moreno, i havent done the hard reset yet.. have a really busy schedule these days.. will do it over the weekend..
also, i would request symbios, hamid, xxx, sajad and others to pool in and make a list of apps that they feel are harmful to our Omnia HD or incompatible and this list can be put up on the blog that symbios is creating. i mean, if one person has faced a tough time with some particular app, it's not necessary that another might go through the same, but atleast there would be a word of caution..

Should i flash my phone or wa... moreNot an expert but depends on if flashing voids your warranty in india, are you willing to take the risk (very easy to flash as I hear but there is always a risk as symbios would say) and depends on how patient you are..I believe the latest flash firmware has kinetic scroll so it sounds like it could rival the official update. I personally don't mind flashing but want to compare it when it's out before doing anything (too lazy to reflash if i the official is better than the debranded version)> BTw hyperx is a version of avail flashware

You are right, dots has a lot of gps but I am tried of doing trial by error (already installed 3 or 4 different gps). If yours has voice navigation then what specific version is yours? I will try dots again. Thnx

Get Garmin .... dont need internet connection and I find it pretty good compared others ...IDK , tat my opinion ... Ya , u should check out www.dotsis.com ...alot of GPS softwares

Nope , I got the unit from Samsung direct ....Besides , our service provider hardly sell hps like O2 unless certain units like Blackberry , Iphones and some others yet most of it is not lock as well ... That's an advantage of buying hps here . Anyway do try out Hyperx 2.02 , using it and loving it ...Oh ya , in my country , flashing of firmware doesnt void the warranty as well

Can anyone recommend a gps software that doesn't need internet connection? I found several but all need internet at the least and I want to save money on data where possible. If anyone has and is willing to post here then much appreciated, but I can probably find it also if given enough info on it. Thnx all.
Btw XXX, A few mths ago you said something about ovi maps that fits my criteria but all the ovi maps i've downloaded so far haven't wrked without internet.
Us3Less, Yeah I meant that but also any other restrictions you might have by the network you bought the phone from (if you got it from a network provider). Thnx for the pending review

sajad khan, 20 Jan 2010brother let me tell u bro actually it is a v.v.low noise co... moreSajad buddy, there should be a very very little hiss like sound through both the headphones and the speakers...But the noise on the speakers should be a bit lesser than the one on headphones. And its very hard to notice it unless u hold the speakers as close as possible to your ear you cant hear it(in a very calm environment)AND the upper speaker(left channel)has a bit higher noise than the lower one...
But the noise on the headphones should be heard slightly higher and exactly equal on both channels(L/R) (Actualy having a bit of hiss noise is natural on any audio devices, from mp3 players to hifi cd players but the amount of noise is different from device to device(called S/N ratio or noise level measurd in db, the bigger the value the better the device is) and this is natural to have more noise on headphones, cause headphones have very very better sensitivity than any speakers even the hifi ones...)
feel free to ask if ur prob still persists...
