i bought it from a store in California, USA called http://www.addictedtophones.com and my firmware version is I8910XXIF9. I live in the caribbean(ST. LUCIA)we only have two carriers and no 3g as yet so i'm stuck with edge. But it doesn't feel new since i already had the 8gb version which i got from http://www.mobilecityonline.com but i cant remember what firmware it had but the codec was .amr for sure cuz compared to the one i have now the sound quality was rubbish!

Symbios, 29 Oct 2009I haven't tried using samsung default earphone simultaneous... morei hadnt noticed the dots until i stopped the recording and the LED when out! So that slip second while the LENS was adjusting back to normal i saw three white tiny dots in the right corner but they arent there whilst i'm recording or there are to tiny for me to notice them

hamid, 29 Oct 2009when you have aac audio with video shooting and theyre sync... moreI haven't tried using samsung default earphone simultaneously with the bluetooth pendant. but the BT pendant has the same type of earphones as the default set u get when u purchased the phone, only difference it that the pendant has ur Mic, media controls and its own earphone jack. so u connect to the pendant via BT from ur phone and listen away i believe it has a playback time of 8 hrs

Can it be programmed to automatically record incoming and outgoing calls ? Is there a time limit ? Some Samsungs can only manage 60 seconds, but with 8gb onboard this device could record forever ??

did u go through audio tune menu yet(*#0002*28346#)? cause i wanna sure its there and they didnt remove it after any updates, my favorite setting,LOL
if i were u i would wait for at least one mounth or so, then if no official update available, flash it...
come on, its a brand new phone, wait man wait;)
BTW, whats ur firmware? where did u bought it?

symbios, 29 Oct 2009I didnt see any white dots whilst recording the video(i jus... moreI just tried the smile shot on my a co-worker its works alright(doesnt snap unless the person smiles, even though u may be pressing down the capture button) but the flash when in that mode is less than impressive. the flash is at its brightess only when auto focus is active!! The aac codec also improves ur voice conversation i have absolutely no issues hearing on my 16gb version but on my previous 8gb version i could barely hear anyone!!

dont worry its a common issue, nearly all i8910s(i searched on google) more or less have those things on their sensors...

And, what u mean by going to app manager for camera settings? i do mine right on the camera screen!!

hamid, 29 Oct 2009yep, its called smile shot, i also donno how it works..., t... moreWith the Samsung SBH-650 BT Pendant u have access to vol/skip/play/stop/pause/answer incoming calls etc....the preset EQ settings all provide a unique output...plus the sound effects work fine as well via headphones!! But my codec is .aac not .amr so that is also a factor!

I hope mine works with a BT stereo headset,
anyways, could you control your music player like, vol, play/pause, rewind/forward, etc...? Also your equalizer settings have any effect on your headset?

Does ur camera have smile detection? And the issues i mentioned about not being able to use flash whenever i change from the default scene, do u experience that? i really hope u say no, so that i have an excuse to flash my phone!
