hi guys this is SAM from india i'hv had this phone for almost two months no issues with hardware but what's wrong with the software i mean there lot of bugs supposed to be fixed. i am dying to know about latest firm ware for indian phones and one more important question if i feel like getting my phone updated with hong long,italian or russian firm ware. so how to go about it and if i do it what could be the consequences if it's not done correctley

I did notice what u were saying bout HD vidoes recorded in extreme low light conditions. It doesnt look like HD at all!

hamid, 23 Oct 2009good to hear you got the video sound fixed, how about ur fr... moreI will give it the benefit of the doubt since the frame rate rarely drops below 24fps and i mean rarely! although it did dropped to 22fps at one time! Oh and one more thing PC Studio still doesnt recognise it, so flashing is still required! I was so desperate to experience the 3d multitasking that i tried flashing and italian firmware but sadly i was using vista lol! Funny thing though my .rar file didnt include the PDA_DRIVER folder but had everything else, i got the file from megaupload. any suggestions

HII im TJ.from PUNE(india),,just now have flashed my omnia with HX cooked firmware & the phone feel a much much better than with the actual indian firmware..therecis full 3d task manager,kinetic scrolling in web browser,better video capture,more space b/w keys in qwerty keypad.......my only dissapointment with this handset is how bad is the web browsing on this set,even new beta version of opera5 always crashes in it(even with the latest firmware),,im also using 5800 & not even a single time opera 5 has crashed down it,,,but other than this the new firmware truly makes it the "iphone of S60"

just download dvix converter from there website and convert vedios only with that converter[dnt use any other converter],u will find outstanding vedios on ur massive omnia's hd screen. and one more thing frnds if u wanna listen to more powerful music than purchase a TRANSEND 3.5 mm earphone which should cost more than 1,000 u ll not beleive it becomes 3 times powerful rather i say v.v.v.v powerful i had that.but hey remember it should be transend not a sony or any other branded earphone,coz i had checked that.ONE MORE THING OMNIA IS AN ALL ROUNDER BUT ALAS ITS VEDIO RECORDING IS NOT 24F/PS IT SUCKS YAAR

mangesh, 22 Oct 2009@ rohit,vbhv007, I am from india(pune),recentely got this ... morei would suggest - wait for an update for indian firmware or a worldwide firmware update. it's not really worth losing ur warranty by debranding/flashing. anyway, if u're confident nothing will go wrong and u're really really eager to update, and also willing to shell out this much cash again, go ahead.. and please do post results and differences when compared to the original firmware :)

nope, not updated firmware. i dont believe an update for the indian version is out, so when that comes i'll update. debranding and flashing would void the warranty. and i'm not willing to do that! 30 grand at stake!! :P
no issues with opening pdf, word, excel or ppt files.

one more problem,i updated my phone's camera drivers after that camera quality goes worst,still photos are not cleared,any other way to get the previous original driver?

no idea why it uses java instead of symbian. guess we need to send some feedback to the guys at opera. and i find quite a few other mobile browsers on the net, so there is enough competition, but none with the features like those in opera mini 5. the look and feel of this is great. just that it crashes faaaar too often.. really need a fix for that.. opera guys, come on!! :D

I am from india(pune),recentely got this cell,before that i have iphone(3g).I can safely say that hd is much better than iphone except iphone's touch sensitivity(just great).I saw in one demo video,3d multitasking(which is great),i am very egar to know when latest firmware update is avail in india?.Or i'll go for italian firmware by debranding the phone?. i know it spoil the warrenty.
waiting for the advice.
