i've been using 'gadget shieldz' protector for my SOHD since oct09.its precision cut to cover your screen, sides and back n its even as detailed to cover the chrome camera dial!!ive used it ..its simple to apply n gives briiliant service n is crystal clear afer applying.one more plus..it gets rid of the slippery nature of i8910.again its cheap too.u can get it for as low as 300INR.go for it guyz..u wnt regret it.

OMG, the perfect phone may be on its way! Samsung Epic is in the works, it has the same specs as the Galaxy S and it has a flash. This is great news for persons like me who were turned off by the lack of a flash on the Galaxy S. Trust me guys Samsung is taking over the phone market. Now Samsung just give us the HDMI output like the N8 and the Evo. Lol we are so demanding. Yes we no the DLNA is very good. This is what I have been waiting for. I like the Evo but its not Amoled so thats kills it for me. If you have ever had a Amoled screen I dont see how you can go back. The iphone 4's screen looks almost as good but this time around the screen is just to small for me. The HTC incredible is nice to but its the same size as my i8910, i want bigger. The Epic is 4" with a super Amoled screen. I will wait to see what happens.

Mo, 29 Jun 2010lol, i do my share by posting a 10/10 rating every day. Wan... moreIts getting renewed interest cause of news getting round of hyperx firmwares and better price plus people who had it first time round are rebuying it now they can unleash its full potential..
Dont forget peole like me finishing off lengthy 12/18/24 month contracts now have a chance to get the fone second hand or sim free,,its a real top spec unit as ive said and people before me. It was underestimated by a lot of people in beggining due to ridiculous price and because of samsungs updates..Now with n8 due & wave realeased and others this omnia HD is still as good with all the goodies and super firmwares..

hamid, 28 Jun 2010IMO Zag is just good for the plastic body...but not the scr... moreHamid, within a month i got a nasty scratch on my screen and later on a few more minor ones, bought a shield protector called shield guard or something, placed it on as carefully as i could but but bubbles formed everywhere, so i wasted it. No idea how those scratches appeared as i am very careful with my phone but the one scratch is really annoying me, it has a bit of texture, i recommend a screen-guard to those who are less careful.

Its because omnia hd has full spec to support symbian^3 should anyone care to port it...It on way up because its more affordable and is a tweakers device like n900 now theres no stopping it now.,,with devs support..Its still high spec and 1GHz means nowt,,what do you need that sucks up 1ghZ ??? EXCEPT IT SUCKS UP BATTERY...Its more important to have a seperate running graphics chip than an estimated 400MHz..That why froyo is now running on n900 when x10 still on 1.6 ,,these tweakers should be rewarded like Hyperx and xda developers..bring it on the i8910 is on fire..

I wonder why the rating of Omnia Hd is increasing after almost 14 months. Like if its getting common now.
Shame on Samsung for such a let down on marketting and after sales support.

I have the following queries:
1) if I backup and restore my stuff after flashing then would the messages in my inbox still display the names of the sender or after flashing they would convert into nos from the person who sent it. Eg: Before flashing if it shows name of sender: Msg.1. Sam. Would it still display Sam’s name after restoration or show his number as: Msg.1. 99287XYZ10.
2) Does the phone need to be backed up for official firmware update via PC suite also or we can update it directly ?
3)which firmware has kinetic scrolling both in Message inbox and contacts?
4) My songs on loudspeaker are very loud but while on a call, speakerphones are barely audible. Which settings in the secret menu should I change ?

In the next month i am going to use a cooked rom just waiting for v6 to come out of beta..ive used mobile shell on touch pro and it was super?front end but still windows underneath..i8910 just keeps going.
