After thousands of complains about sound quality in video recording I ended to believe you. What alternatives do you have guys ? Does anyone else know a phone that solves this issue ? Any LG, innov8, nokia, SE ? Don't come with N97 as its processor will annoy me more than the sound issue with i8910. And its price is absurd. Thanx in advance for your alternatives. I've been waiting for 4 months to i8910's release and now you all changed my mind. My patience is running out. So, any other suggestions ?

They didnt release with a normal codec cause the optimisation would take a lot time. And the release was sheduled, so it was imposible to change anything at the moment. I think of two possibilities - either the phone can be hacked and the codec settings changed manually and Samsung can change it with a SW update. I believe more it the first alternative.

frodi, 17 May 2009ok what do you mean by better audio ? near 8000 Khz ?Not sure about rising of rate up to 16000, but the codec could be changed to aac for sure. It would give a much better sound.

I think it is good phone but too expensive and too big. Now you can have HD video recording with the tiny camera Canon ixus 100 for 250 euros...and HDMI cable output.

On the introduction it clearly states: "Shot using the Samsung HD I8910 camera phone. It has not been altered or edited in any way."
Well something's amiss here because the quality of the youtube video supposedly shot on the I8910 does not remotely compare to the video quality of the retail product. Both are similar scenarios, someone talking whilst a bit of low volume music plays in the background. It doesn't even begin to compare. Whereas the YouTube clip is of high quality in every sense, Stefan's video is rubbish. Lots of visual noise and aural squelching. This isn't right at all. What's gone wrong here - can anyone hazard a guess?
