now, this is THE phone. The only phone that can possibly be better than the Omnia HD, is the Sony Ericsson Idou (but won't come out soon).
.... I wish that the Omnia HD had the resistance of the Sonim XP3. That would be the best phone of the history.

I will tell you why this phone is the best phone to date..
what do we mean by best phone, best phone = high performance device
multimedia device usually designed with high specifications so that it can handle all media including games
however,business phones designed only to handle documents and to arrange appointments, thats why they dont put best 3d accelerator in those types of phones, also sometimes they dont put high speed processor

Why do people say about this HD, the "Best Phone" up to now? Every one's requirement is different. If you are in to business type/professional, it's N97 and if you are in to watching movies etc, its Omnia HD. I don't see how anybody can say its the "Best Phone".

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The Idou is the same design as the Lg viwty, its old and its fat, this is only 12.9mm and the idou is expected to be 15mm and this has a better screen (oled) and capactive touchscreen plus this records 1280x720@24fps, thats no match for the idou, cause all it has is its 12mp camera. I rather by a camera which takes photos, plus the video on the Omnia is unmatched to any video camera at that price, most video cameras record 720x480 so this is outstanding. People would go for this one than the poor idou.

Actually no, the Omnia HD is more of a multimedia phone (larger screen, DNSE) whereas the N97 is more towards the business market.

When they bought into the iphone they thought it would have a great market share, but sales have not really done aswell as expected (hence new tarrifs etc), and people are waiting for the iphone v3 in the summer... As with the OmniaHD Its the same with the LG Arena, and i imagine it would be the same with the N97 when it gets released also. Any phone with similar credentials that could possibly distract ppl from buying the iphone (mainly touchscreens)they wont buy into. Shame really as im sure these high end handsets combined would outsell the iphone.

Omnia HD's screen is capacitive and N97's touchscreen is resistive.
Next time onwards, just click on 'HSCSD' or whatever on the phone's specs. page n u will get the meaning. It will save both, U and I, time...
