fineway, 30 May 2012I have had this phone for four years now. But I can't opera... moreany kind of object, device, contraption, electronic, toy, etc line has flaws. that doesnt mean you should hate an entire brand just for one flawed device. Before writing it off try a custom firmware.

I have had this phone for four years now. But I can't operate the phone as it should be operated. The phone netwrok does not work properly. It goes off and on all the time. Internet and other neworking option don't work properly. very frustated with this phone. I want to buy another phone but not a sumsung brand

guys is the omnia hd first on web since it was using s60v5 cause now my 5800xm is vry slow while i open a web page phone it close al the runining appz and it tels me memory full close application,so i wna know if the omnia do that too!!What about the cpu while opening many appz it wil be slow or what? I wna buy this phone ....help

Oh wow, people asking for Android OS to be ported on the I8910 HD ... simply put it cant be done as it uses a Samsung version of the Symbian Boot Loader.
Even if it could be done
spec wise it would not be able handle much more than Android 1.6 (I think that is either Cupcake or Donut) due to only having a 600MHz (downgraded to 550MHz) CPU, 256MB of RAM with a very small partition for ROM of something like 150MB and a rather weak GPU.
But there is alternative like the HX-V11 custom firmware which basically turns the Omnia HD into a near enough Nokia n97 (final firmware edition) so you get kinetic scrolling, a patch to boost CPU to a max 950MHz and of course an open signature file to install various hacked Nokia (Ovi) apps like Ovi Maps and other Nokia Symbian S60/S^3 apps, you also get improved HD 720p@23fps video recording and better jpeg capture files (not by much but an improvement)
i.e.: use google to search for HX-V11 custom roms to download the needed files to basically upgrade the Omnia HD.
Overall Samsung never really gave the support needed to make this handset what it could be, at one stage in 2009 it was an iPhone 3 and 3gs killer with its 3.7" AMOLED screen, decent spec levels (again for 2009 based 600Mhz single core CPU, 256MB RAM and 150MB ROM, PowerVR SGX GPU, came in either 8GB or 16GB version, has HSDPA 7.2 / HSUPA 5.6 (for both 2100/900 bands) and Quad band GSM (all with EDGE/GPRS support) and featured Symbian S60v5 (which was KING at that point in time) but sadly to much time has gone by for this handset and essentially now a crappy Huawei Android OS based handset beats it silly.
I have my one currently with HX-11 firmware and have set the HXPatcher to also be locked at 850MHz for CPU which does help out a lot and also use Opera Mobile 12.0 as the main browser ...
Of course I have the Galaxy S II and only use the Omnia HD as a HD video recorder and as a home use WiFi device ...

dil, 06 Feb 2012hi when i using the headset to listing music auto calls go... moresounds like as if the silver key on the headset wire is always pushed? that might be a problem with your headset...try to use another one or a apair of normal headphones

disappointment - Samsung will not give ANY support.In Europe the answer is NO, in US the answer is NO - my next phone will have to be anything but NOT Samsung. Apps - simply not available. Symbian operating system - no help from Samsung, no help from Nokia - just a waste of time.

today i bought online samsung i8910.. its imported from korea.... phone is good.. but samsung pc studio dont support the phone.. and no radio working...
