Correction: Film frame rate is 24fps not 25fps.
24 frame/s common in production for high-definition video. It's normal for Film projection as well, except IMAX, Showscan and Iwerks 70.
When transferred to NTSC television, the rate is effectively slowed to 23.976 fps, and when transferred to PAL or SECAM it is sped up to 25 fps. 35 mm movie cameras use a standard exposure rate of 24 frames per second and it became de facto standard for sound motion pictures.
So lets not complain about 24fps.

Now please don't call that copy for gods sake. We all knew from end of 2008 that Samsung is working on their 12mp phone and soon they will release it. Now LG says they too. The same thing happened to SE's 8mp phone remember.
Someone even mentioned "why 24fps". I wonder if he/she knows whats the frame rate for movies we all are watching in theater. Its 25fps. Do you complain why cinemas have 25fps??? silly isn't it.

Why all you guys come on and talk about how good SE Idou is. This phones full specs aren't even released yet. The Idou won't be released until early next year, look how long it took SE to release the X1 after this phone was announced. By that time samsung would have released there 15mp phone currently available in Korea.

It has a good specs, but too big.
if only it has a xenon flash, this thing will be better.

Which features of Idou u think is no qualified? If u love that ugly omnia hd with hd video recording, then buy it n eat your hd video n then throw ur video camcorders away, coz they may have no good video quality like ur omnia hd.....

I spoke to my orange shop dear they say they had heard about the phone and expect it to be on £45 month contract with the phone costing between £50-100. Which is pretty much what the Normal Omnia is going for atm.

And yes samsung is 2nd now, but it doesn't care about the quality, it just pruduces but no responsible for itself. I've got a lot of bad words from my friends who r samsung fans. SE is in 5th but its phones has attracted many people from around the world, coz its products have good quality and all designs r for people of all ages n sexes.

I compare the specs of samsung Omnia HD and SE IDOU, Im not a fan of these two phones actually, but I found Omnia HD is better in specs. If you are a professional and want mobile multimedia, and good navigation tru the appplications... then I vote for OMNIA HD... only thing in SE IDOU the camera is ofcourse more advance than OMNIA.... but for a total score for a smart phone... i prefer the specs of Omnia HD, navigation wise, sound, mobile multimedia, HD video camera, still camera is ofcourse not so bad because it is 8MP.
But ofcourse we need further info about the performance, whther this phone will be stable or not... but since these two phones are using the same OS... then maybe the stability and performance is thesame.... so! well wait until it will realease....

Well i can say se fans in gsmarena is millions while sammy fans just a few,and we don't have problem about se until se fans shouting in sammy forum..u can see in idou forum : there's no sammy fans shouting! (önly nokia vs se fans) while in hd forum only se fans and newbie sammy fans like me
Xperia? Expensive but not bestseller like omnia..xpensive coz made by htc..only gives gr8 res but overall very2 poor and problematic,3.2mp? Poor se,and google said that se has serious financial problem n sony ceo very2 disapointing..

Capacitive TFT display:

If you said samsung Omnia is better than SE Idou why the vote result is Idou for the top? You said because SE fans give the bad score to Omnia HD, so i can say that samsung fans also give bad score for SE too. Now compare the Xpera X1 vs samsung I900 omnia, why does X1 price is more expensive than the i900 omnia? Even its camera only 3.2 MP? Poor samsung....
