thank god for the battery and the oled screen hopefully that makes it a little more power efficient,

This phone does not seem to have the actual 3.5 audio jack. This is the same samsung proprietary plug that requires audio adapter. Samsung should stop doing this, not to mention the cover for the jack is just asking to be broken off. Why not include a querty keyboard? This way this could a real phone.

sms, 25 Feb 2009I don't think you can judge the quality of the phone by the... moreI never said dat d GSM arena ratings r accurate and it can b used as a correct way 2 judge a phone...it just gives us a rough general idea bout d mobile accrding 2 d way othr ppl and maybe d editors see it...i think dat for the amount ppl r goin 2 pay for this mobile...they r not gettin 100% out from it. (no WinMo and plus only upto 16GB memory) N97 gives 32GB..unless u wait fr a really long time waiting fr d price to drop so dat u can actually afford it!.u r goin 2 pay alot fr dis mobile..so u shud get bit more quality frm it aswell..but overall great phone!! best in d market so far..but i wud go for d original omnia..cheers :)!!

Well, its good to see at least someone is using their brains! Samsung people must be a bit brighter than other competitors. They wisely decided to pack the Omnia HD with a decent battery (Li-Ion 1500 mAh...in contrast with LG Arena´s measly 1000mAh and Touch Diamond2´s 1100mAh)! I mean, what good is a multimedia powerhouse if you can only use it for a couple of hours!

It seems like nHd is the max resolution out of all symbian (s60 based) platforms which is frankly quite sad. This software limitation is unacceptable. In japan their symbina from docomo MOAP platform supports up to 864x480. Soon they will be able to take it up to XGA. Now what is symbain up to? Nothing.
Korea will probably get a WVGA Omnia HD.... very disappointing, its not the hardware, its plain old nokia staying one step behind.

The rating for Samsung S7350 ultra s are 91,88 and 88. Does it mean this phone is better than the Omnia HD. By the way, the original Omnia has no comparison to this Omnia HD except the weight and price. I always believe in you get what you pay for.

Samsung GT-i8910 Omnia HD will come preloaded with Fring. Fring is the multifunctional application, which is capable of VoIP conversations, chat clients, social network and micro-blogs.
Samsung Omnia HD will be released in the end of April or in the beginning of May.

i totally agree this is an awesome mobile. But like the old saying anything samsung can so can LG. so there is not a lot between them really.they both design amazing phones. the only downside is the weight its heavy. just like M8800 pixon. shame all the technology couldnt be a tad lighter.

Yea...cmon ppl ..its realy not worth fightin on who's d best,if its Samsung or Sony,its us who benfit in d end.Im a die hard Sony fan..i love their mobiles..but most of their latest mobiles turned out to be really disappointin..even Idou,its only bout the 12 mp cam..othr features r just average...but im happy dat SE started to think out of d box,with the fulltouch screen n 65M colours...they have 2 improve or else they'l lose the battle to the upcomin brands like LG,HTC etc.(Same applies to nokia) Samsung Omnia HD is a really cool phone but many ppl will go for d original omnia instead. Look at the ratings now its dropping...Its not even released yet and still the ratings r lower than the original omnia..anothr disadvantage is goin to be the price tag for this baby..coz i think its goin 2 be expensive thus limiting most ppl from goin fr it...coz there r other cheaper 8mp cam phones in d market..with the current global situation if this phone has a higher price tag,which its likely to have..will be a big disadvantage for samsung..overall great phone...i personally wud go 4 d original omnia..cheers :)!!
