I liked this phone until I hear the quality of the sound of HD videos.
This video's quality is made to be seen on a LCD Screen, but sound's quality is very bad (uncompress 8000Hz @ 128kbps) compared to other smartphone.
Why didn't they do like the old --but great -- N95 : (sound of videos in 48000Hz @ 768kbps)
We don't care about the size of files...

Nevertheless their TV's & cameras are really good but I did not say they are the best.If I delve deep here on this subject, I will be opening a new topic i.e which LCD TV is better Samsung or Sony? I am sure plethora of comments would flood this forum. Well it is time to sit back & enjoy the brickbats & bouquets.

this phone i think only has the best video resolution at the moment but the other parts of omnia HD is not special anymore..
higher video resolution doesnt mean it has good quality, it is just about size not quality..
Even VGA video can be better than HD video but yes, not in size...
iam sad this phone screen only has 360 x 640 resolution of screen,it doesnt support HD video quality it self so you cant enjoy the HD video at full quality on the phone screen.
it has HD video but it doesnt mean vga or qvga is bad..
which is better between
vga video on WVGA screen (480 x 800) or HD video on 360 x 640 ?
you must know what the different is between quality and size!!
but when i saw idou i was suprised...
idou is soo inovative, very fast and has touch floo..
idou is the first phone that use cybershoot 12 MP in the world and use new WALKMAN into 1..idou is the beginning so idou cant be compared with the other old SE phones quality..no one know about idou quality because idou is the first phone of NEW SONY ERICSSON entertaiment unlimited...iam glad idou use xenon flash
who said SONY cant make HD video? dont forget sony has produced many eletronic products in the world too and if idou doesnt use HD video, it doesnt mean idou is bad..iam sure idou use VGA video at least and it is enough for me because VGA video on 360 x 640 screen is good enough rather than expensive HD video on 360 x 640 screen, wasting money..
dont forget HD video can drop the battery down faster than 12MP...
i think idou is the smartest phone of 2009..

Bit too large for my liking (height especially). Hopefully a future smaller version comes out with similar features (much like a number of Nokias did after the N95).

what will i say......u are samsung fans and u are belaeing it......it`s normal.....yes this phone is good but don`t compare it IDOU,because u aren` god`s and u don`t know ANYTHING about IDOU.....
u willn`t compare IDOU and this because IDOU is other thing....IDOU is made for its camera....it is the innovation....actuality is diferent....u are kidding yourself.....

Big 3,7 Screen,Two Stereo Speakers,Strong Battery,Video in HD,DivX & Xvid Player,GPS, Wi-Fi and so on and so on....
I can't see more perfect phone than this one!!

Please make a good phone with many features but not too expensive. This samsung when the phone are in the market are very expensive but then after 2 or 3 years the price are going down this is annoyed. Please reduced the price.

Wat a achievement , Samung has only one competition and that is Samsung , they give so much to ther mobiles , one eg is like create your own theme , no other manufacturer offers that , now they got ther own DNSe, tied up with SRS it shows ther commitment and wayyyyy above others ,OmniaHD is just look awesome and feels super promising device , Well done Samsung, i feel many more things to come from Samsung , wait and watch.

Why SE Fans comes to samsung forums and give impolite comments? While a year ago se fans attacked nokia forum

I think they're just jealous about samsung profit,technology etc..
Sony like their join venture (se) become overtooked by other vendor (sammy,lg just did it,and now phillips n matsushita panasonic are closer n closer)..

When last year sony positive cuts 8000 jobs..and in 2009 sony announce will cuts 8000 jobs (sony plans to cuts 16000jobs,close few factory) especially at japan base facility. . . Sony suffered this coz their main selling product (PlayStation3) suffered low demand (just 1/3 of XBOX360),and low TV LCD demand..
