I'm seriously considering buying this phone, the only thing that is putting me off it is the battery life, can anyone that has it tell me how it performs? I use GPS, 3G, and WIFI all day long on my current phone the 5800XM and the battery lasts a day under heavy usage and 2 days under moderate usage. Is the i8910 any better or worse?

the Italian Firmware XXI1 can be downloaded from http://samsungi8910omnia.com/i8910-omnia-hd-firmware-downloads/ these firmwares were all extracted from the original then repacked so u will still have to edit that folders......unfortunately the only way to get hold of the original is to purchase it......as it relates to the hyperX 2.1 firmware its really amazing bro, its fast, theres lots of C:/ memory, it comes with rompatcher installed, it still has 3d multitasker and every other benefit of the official updates....plus the additions made by the developer....and to answer ur question yes u can reflash to any other original firmware from the hyperx firmware......but i seriously recommend u just go to the hyperX firmware....its flashing is the easiest thing in the world.....plus its and amazing cooked rom

Am using HyperX 2.11 and I finally got it to work, I had to reflash. I accidently transfered the contacts from my N97 and it came with all the settings also so that caused alot of stuff not to work.

A updated firmware is coming out soon so those of you wanting to flash might want to wait a few days.

                                        Tutorial

                                        1. Install Microsoft’s MS XML

                                        2. Then install the i8910 HD Flashing drivers. At this point it might pay to reset your machine to insure the drivers install correctly.

Firstly a warning, before we flash the phone. Make sure its full charged. Please note that flashing your phone will void your warranty. Also do not disconnect your phone or power off your computer when flashing! Otherwise you will have yourself a nice shiny black brick.

                                        3. Start the downloaded HyperX firmware. (the .exe file, on your computer.) You can see the program, but can’t click the start button.

                                        4. You need to reset your phone before flashing, using first a soft reset (*#7780#) and to be sure a hard reset (*#7370#) The default lock code is 00000000!
From now on, you dont have to do this! Its done automaticly by HX flashing firmware!

                                        5. Shutdown your I8910 and start it with volume button up + lock key pressed. (if its done correctly, you will see the bootloader, a blue screen)

                                        6. Connect the phone with usb, and you will see that you can press the start button in the program to flash the firmware!
                                        Files (I8910 Flashdrivers + Microsoft’s MS XML)
