It has 512mb ram physically but it only shows 312mb because of the kernel

obodai, 29 Jan 2014i cnt use song as a ringtone. unless de phone oneMake a folder as a ringtone and then paste the songs in that folder and go to sounds and select the option ringtone and then do it what u want.

Updating this phone to the latest Jellybean OS or even Kit Kat AKA Android 4.4 is a daily easy process if you follow the instructions correctly if i were you id go with jellybean because my captivate froze a lot on Kit hat here is the link to the video for Jellybean- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hadizqVkwn0
you can find the 4.4 update video but trust me you are better of with jellybean i hope this comment helps all who want to upgrade to a higher OS :)
