Freefaller is correct. There is no need to apply a lagfix to 2.3.5 as it runs smooth as silk.
All a lagfix does is to convert the file system from the default RFS to EXT4, but Samsung have fixed many of the bugs in Android which caused the phone to lag when using RFS in previous versions of Android.

Can you explain the problem you are having?
I've got v2.3.5 on my SGS and there is NO lag at all. I have also flashed three other models of this phone and none of them are experiencing any lag either.

First of all, you can't upgrade to Gingerbread v2.3.5 via Kies because it hasn't been officially released yet. You will have to use a program called Odin to do it.
You can find insructions on how to upgrade here with links to the files you will need:

Read the page at least twice before beginning. You will lose all your Contacts, Apps etc. (as it states), so make sure you back up everything before you start.
Flashing the phone is painless, but read the disclaimers before you do it.
After installing v2.3.5 you may wish to 'Root' your phone as well. The link for this is here:

I have not experienced any problems with v2.3.5 - Ihe phone is much faster now, no lags at all, and the battery life has improved a lot; but at the end of the day it is down to personal choice.

hello guys i am proud user of SGS..☺☺
I am giving my best suggestion...experience on this phone its very good when compared to salsa, SG-SL(I9003), any other in its range..i agree with few glitches but it doesn't matter that much. i got no issues from past 10months..only issue is abt battery bckup abt a day for power user..and normal usage 2 days max...i made a improvement in battery life by changing it to 1650mAh batt..of SG-SL..it fits perfectly...and regarding updates its good compared to others LG-Optimus B..no update till now.. i am running on GB 2.3.3(DDJV9) update process was smooth..i am now rooting my device in search of best ROMs..
I suggest to bye this phone or u have some more money u can get SGS+ or SGSII....

Few of the bugs in this phone are that it will happen slot while you are browsing the web will freeze and will close down on it's own.If you have too much stuff on your phone it will lag slot and machines when you'll take pictures or make videos it won't come into gallery straight away you'll have to switch off the phone and then back on.

Whenever I connect it with kies, It shows that I have the latest version 2.3.3 installed in it.

This is all took my 2.1 Galaxy S to get converted into 2.3.3 Gingerbread.
Its so easy and fast.
All you need is samsung Kies installed on your computer with a good internet speed.
You do not need to do anything apart from 2 - 3 clicks.
It will automatically show you updates are ready. Just click and wait. it will automatically reboot and will get install the latest gingerbread to your cell.
Very easy.

Dear all,
I'm in big confusion of buying HTC Salsa or Samsung Galaxy S... Salsa is bit lower than Galaxy but i feel that Galaxy S comes in Android 2.1..
Is it easy to up grade to android 2.3...?

Sumsung Galaxy S I9000
I want to speak about One of the problems of Sumsung Galaxy S i9000 that is so important and very very bad problem, When you are Recording Video if your finger touch the (Return Button) your all recording that you did will lost and it didn’t save those, you know it is so shit when your important recording you did lost. Or the unique scene you recorded lost with one click.
It will be so good and best if it should, save your recording videos when your finger touches the (Return Button) or something else.

Go into your phone Log and hold down on the caller you wish to block. On the menu that appears, select 'Add to Reject List'.
