Follow them word to word and you'll have no problem. I've been on GB 2.3.3 for few months already. Do it and you'll be amazed what ur phone can do.

freefaller, 17 May 2011Does anyone know the answer to this: When I charge my ph... moreTry this: Bump charge it (even if it's full for one hour--> use it until COMPLETELY flat (try turning it on and let if off to make sure)--> Charge it while it's off (dont turn on) until it shows 100% --> Boot in recovery (Vol up + Home + Power, keep all pressed until it show Galaxy S screen, then let all go. It will take you to Recovery Mode) --> Use your Volume Key to navigate to ADVANCE (Select the option by Power Key) --> Wipe Battery Stats --> Reboot (when the phone is on, unplug when you see the Full Battery Notification)--> Use it until it flats and charge full (no need to have it off) and repeat 2 or 3 times. Now your phone is back to normal. It's called Battery Calibration. Hope it helps, mate :D

Waiting update through kies is pain in the ass. I couldn't wait. I was afraid of bricking my phone as well, but I tried and never failed. There's always somebody out there who are willing to help u out. Or me... :D

pls help... i have the old i9000 SGS from ORANGE it has 2.2 froyo and open line but when i try to update my software tru KIES it said "this software can't be update" is this mean i cant get any update from this phone? im loosing hope already,i don't want to flash it by my self because it void my warranty and im not confident doing it...
plssss... help.. i want this gingerbread update....

I got the official gingerbread from KIES today after i INSTALLED jvb with ODIN. I have not noticed much difference though

gingerbread is now on kies. I installed JVB using odin and when I connected to kies, I got themessage to upgrade to JVH and I am doing that presently. I used a zip file on xda *XWJVB_XEE_Deodexed_Zipaligned_signed*

i have had my samsung galaxy s 19000i for about 2 months now
am really enjoying it, if you look after your phone like buying a screen protector and silicone case and you dont abuse it in any way, then you wont have any problems, apps i download a couple of game apps play them for a few days and delete them still plenty of internal memory i also go into task manager and delete cache and restore memory and i take pics and use the camcorder but what i have not done is upload them to pc as yet. over all love my galaxy s

Does anyone know the answer to this:
When I charge my phone the battery meter reads 100%, but when I disconnect the charger the meter immediately drops down to 97% or 98%. If I reconnect the charger it carries on charging up to a full 100%.
I have heard that this is an Android fault. Does anyone experience the same as me, and does anyone know WHY it does this?

Go to android market website from your computer and search for LOOKOUT PLAN B application.
It can help you after you have lost your mobile.
Just follow the instructions and you will be able to trace your stolen mobile's location.

good news to all.. Gingerbread is finally near.. I hope they have corrected the rfs to ext4 in the latest gingerbread update..
