... more Darky's ROM v9.5 is based on froyo 2.2.1, so it will still show as 2.2.1 on the phone. The new Darky's ROM 10 is based on 2.3.3 Gingerbread so will show up as 2.3.3 on the phone.
In any case, from what I can gather, Darky's ROM is classed as an elaborate theme rather than a proper firmware in its own right.

I downloaded the Darky v9.5 Rom from that link on the page but when the phone loads the screen states 'Darky v9.4'. Weird!
Also, in Settings/About Phone it stills states that the firmware is v2.2.1 Again, weird !
On a positive note, my battery has now lasted 3 days so far, and still shows 37% remaining.

Has enyone here used a Mugen battery for his SGS?...It claims to increase the battery life with 50% thanks to the 3200 Mah capacity! It thickens the phone but I guess it's an acceptable price....Thanks....

I highly recommend this Samsung Galaxy S i9000. Because base on my experience, the phone is really really nice. 1st, the design is nice. nice in a way that the phone is very slim. Also, the surface and the back part of the phone is very smooth. Which is nice to feel. 2nd, the phone is userfriendly. There's no need for reading the manuals. 3rd, i find the UI(user interface) nice. Because the icons are very simple yet very formal. Also, the user interface is very very very responsive. One tap only on screen and it will respond right away. My galaxy version is 2.2 FROYO. I love it very much for i have downloaded lots of different applications and all apps are working excellently. 4th, I like the built-in internal memory which 16gigabytes. Because you can stored a lot of stuff. Also, there's an external memory slot wherein you can put your microSDHC card. Galaxy can use a 32GB microSDHC card class 4. Which i am using right now. 5th, with regards battery life. I don't believe on other post stated that the battery life is poor. NO! My Galaxy S battery life is excellent. Because base on my experience, i surf a lot on the internet on my galaxy, i listen to music, i watch videos, i played games, i take pictures and video captures. But honestly speaking, my galaxy never drained fast. The battery life is excellent. For i seldom recharge it. Because the battery life never drained fast. Also, there are lots of nice gel case that you can use in galaxy. 6th, with regards camera shots and video capture. Although there's no led light or flash. But still, the quality of the pictures taken from the galaxy is very very sharp, clear, vivid. Same with the videos captured from this phone. the video is very clear. Its like watching in a 3D movie. 7th, The pictures taken from galaxy is excellent. Also, surfing the net on this phone is very very fast. Quality of calls is excellent too. Because of the clear sound.

Thanksi recently replace 1650mah battery in my almost year old galaxy s !!! but i didnt find any significnt diffrence comparitively.the battery backup is preety much the same as on was with 1500mah-2days with modr8 use and 1whole day with heavy use.

is there any way that i can connect my galaxy with my laptop internet via ad hoc wireless network....i have tried but my galaxy does not recognize my personal wireless connection>>is there any solution for this problem or another way so i can share my laptop internet with my galaxy????

I even have a black casemate hard cover on it to protect the back cover against scratches, maybe it was a software update issue.

It is newly manufactured, dated 22 Feb. 2011.We can admit that our beloved SGS 1 has a battery issue, now this is the answer.

I currently have a Nokia E71 (I know it's old!!!), but can now get either a Samsung Galaxy S, Blackberry Torch or Nokia N8 / E7. advice pl? I'm happy with Nokia battery life, but software is outdated?
