I got the S1 few days back. the h/s is awesome just ... moreHi Max. Don't worry too much about the short battery life yet.
When the device is brand new it won't last very long, so what you need to do is run it through a few charging cycles over the next two to three weeks and your battery life will improve.
Mine lasts about two days now, and I've had it only three months.
Also, have a look around the internet for Galaxy S battery calibration for extra help.

I installed Darky's 9.5 Extreme edition ROM.
Works fantastic.

I got the S1 few days back. the h/s is awesome just a small problem about the battery life. With a few Facebook updates, around 10 mins of gaming, 10 mins of calls, 2-3 downloads from And Market the battery does not last for more than 12 hours . Just wanted to knwo if that was the normal battery life or is there something I need to do to change it. I have installed the Advanced Task Killer on advise from another user.
It will be a great help if I can be advised on the same

AnonD-5490, 06 May 2011next year july i should have the sgs 3,so did u get the sgs2 matenot yet bro...samsung people over here are still uncer10 about the release date of the SGS-II in our market.so no luck so far :-(
meanwhile,i've changed the black back cover of my sgs to the white one and its lookin awesome !!!so m nt willin to trade my sgs anymore...atleast not for 2-3 months :-P
lets see...i might not even buy the SGS-II after...coz aftr 2-3 months some other powerfull option will be available in the market !!!

The SD card is the internal memory. The external card is the micro SD card.
Never mind. looks like you are unwilling to learn. Even a 5 year old can figure it out.

Download Dark Core Kernal (What?)
Download DarkyROM Configurator
Then, open the app. Then, in the 'Kernel Options', choose 'Skip Kernel'. Then, press Menu button on phone, click Save and Exit.
Now, flash Dark Core kernel using the steps mentioned below:
Download EFS Backup
Copy Darky's ROM to your internal sd card (Where's that?)
Then it goes on and on.....

I am not really happy with my GAlaxy, this morning i wake up and there is a green light right down the screen. It has endless problems, and now i must take it back to the manufactures to get it fixed. Seriously not happy!!

Once you read through the easy guide and follow it step by step, flashing is the easiest thing in the world to do. Plus of course the enormous sense of self satisfaction after a successful flashing.
